Chapter 17 - "Challange Accepted"

Mari's POV

I hit the ground hard when I woke up. I had a terrible dream that I was kicked out of my house when a misunderstanding happened. I looked about the room and saw I was lying down in the hall with rows of bunks along the walls. "Shit..." It wasn't a dream. I looked down at my left hand with my phone. I moved my other hand to stand up when I realized I had something in it.

In my right hand was a stuffed lion. He was kind of cute. He was really old looking but still in good shape. I sat there looking at him for a while. I moved him around and noticed the tag said 'Daniel'. What a cute name for a little lion. I wonder who he belongs to. I turned around to grab the bunk for support to get up when I saw him.

Michael was standing there, just staring. "Oh, uh...sorry was I too loud?". I felt a little bad knowing I may have bugged him. "No, I just came to check on you..." He said. I still felt bad either way. After what seemed like forever, I realized I was still on the ground. I started to get up when my side hurt. I looked over and noticed a big bruise forming on my burn, great.

Michael gave me his hand and I gladly took it. He pulled me up faster than I anticipated so I ended up tripping over my own feet and falling into Michael's arms. I noticed he was a good 6 inches taller than me by the way I had to look up a little just to see his eyes. He still had his hand around mine from where he pulled me up while his other one was on my back supporting me.

I quickly stood back and told him a quick thank you before going downstairs. I walked down to see Luke and Sky cuddled up on the couch. What? I know that Sky has a crush on Luke... You would be dumb not to see it, but Damn! I guess when he kissed her he must have meant it. Shaking that thought out of my head I went over to back room. Calum and Ashton were in there so I tried to quickly turn around and head somewhere else.

"Hey Mari, I'm glad to see you are up!" Ashton said. "Yeah, thanks for carrying me up there, it was a nice nap." "No problem" he returned. They were watching Netflix on the Xbox. "What are you watching?" I said trying to break the awkward silence. "How I Met Your Mother." Calum said. I loved this show. I have seen all of the seasons and I then re-watched them once I knew what happened it the end. "Oh really, I love this show!" I didn't lie but something told me that what I had just said was going to be a big mistake.

"Oh really?" Ashton questioned. "Yup" I stated back popping the 'P'. "Would you mind if I asked you a few questions about the show? Just to see what kind of fan you are?" He said back with a smirk. "No not at all, ask away!" "Uh-oh" Calum said. I guessing that this was the mistake that I felt.

"Who does Ted Mosby wait for at the roof's Halloween party?"
-"the slutty pumpkin"

"What is Robin's last name, and where is she from?"
- her last name is Scherbatsky and she is from Canada"

"Where does Marshall propose to Lily?"
- "the kitchen of Ted and Marshal's apartment."

"Who is the pervert friend that has the catch phrase 'challenge accepted'?"
- "Barney Stinson"

"What is Lily's job?"
- "a kindergarten teacher"

"What is the only problem with Lily and Marshall's apartment that they discovered after they moved in?"
- "the apartment was crooked"

"When Lily saw Barney's doppelgänger, was it really his doppelgänger?"
- "No, it only looked like Barney because her mind was telling her that it was time to have a baby per the agreement that her and Marshall made."

(I heard Calum muttering something but I was too much in the zone too hear what...)

"What was the color of the umbrella that turned out to be Ted's future wife's?"
- "yellow"

"When had he first seen his soon to be wife and what did he see on her?"
- "he was dating one of his college students and he saw her slip into her room after getting out of the shower, but all he saw was her ankle."

"What was the name of the bar keep that kept putting drinks in Lily's hand once she was out while they were at Barney and Robin's wedding?"
- "his name was Linus"

"What kind of drink did he put in her hand that wasn't revealed until a couple episodes after the deal was made with him"
- "they were non alcoholic drinks because she thought she might be pregnant which was confirmed when she did a test at 'The Captain's' house."

"What happened to Barney in the episode where he tries to get a 'perfect month'?
- "he gets a girl pregnant and ends up keeping the kid and looking after her"

"How did Ted get left at the alter?"
- "He invited the girl's Ex and she got back together with him while leaving a note in his room."

"How is Barney's brother different from him, only 2 main ways will be accepted!"
- "His brother is Gay and black"
"Correct..." I could tell that he was running out of questions and getting a little annoyed that I knew them all.

"Um...OH I GOT IT, YOU'LL NEVER GET THIS ONE (I was interested) WHO IS THE VOICE OF THE OLDER TED MOSBY WHEN HE IS TALKING TO HIS KIDS AND NARRATING THE STORY."
- (immediately) "BOB SAGOT!!!"

Calum's jaw dropped. "Fuck!!" Ashton yelled. He was impressed but still pissed at the same time. "Don't swear!" Michael said from behind me. He held his hand out in a fist. I bumped it and could tell that none of them have ever seen what I just did. "But, I just got beat by a girl at my own game!" Ashton defended. "I don't care," Michael said, "she is just better that you, deal with it"
