Chapter 27 - The Girl

Sky's POV (the next day)

It's about 3:20pm right now and the boys are off at a concert while Mari is tucked away in her room. Her hospital drugs came this morning and there was a note that said to give her some if she freaked out. She started to freak out about 5 minutes ago about never being able to go to a late night party of remembering camping or something like that. I gave her some so she would calm down because she was close to ripping her sleeves. She calmed down and started to tackle me asking for hugs. I told her I didn't want to hug so she got sad and walked to her and Michael's room to wait for him.

"We're home!!" Ash called as they walked through the door. I jumped up and told them about what has been going on and as soon as I finished Michael left to go get Mari. He took a while but as soon as I heard "nooooo, that's mine Micky!" I knew things were going to get interesting. Michael was being chased by a crying Mari and he looked amused. He turned around and saw she was crying so he stopped. "I'm sorry sweetie. Here you go." She grabbed something from his hand an put it on her face. That's weird. What's weird is that there was nothing in his hand. "What did you have?" Calum asked. He simply responded with, "her nose" I laughed and so did the others but Michael just stood there holding Mari in his arms. I felt bad. I whispered in her ear, "you should tackle him for cuddles like you did with me." She grinned and walked over to the kitchen. As I sat back down Michael gave me a confused look until Mari jumped on his back. He didn't budge at all.

"How did you know?" I asked. He smiled and just gave her a piggy back ride until someone knocked on the door. Calum sprung up and ran over to it. He stepped outside and left us all there curious. "I bet it's pizza." Mari said. You could tell the drugs were still kicking at her brain but she seemed happy so I guess I did something right. "I have someone for you to meet!" Calum yelled from the door.

He walked in with someone right behind him. He stepped to the side to reveal a girl. But not just any girl. "ANITA!" Mari yelled as she hopped off of Michael's back. She ran up and hugged her really tight. "Mari let me go. please?" She said. This only made me laugh. I got up and went over to them I pulled Mari off of her and hugged Anita. "How have you been? We haven't seen you in about 4 days." I said. Us girls laughed and I looked over at Calum who was just shocked. He looked so confused, poor guy. "But how do you guys know each other?" He asked. The other guys looked like they had no idea what is going on.

"We live very close to each other. Mari lives right down the street from me and Sky goes to school with me and Mari too." Anita explained. "I used to..." Mari said. I think the drugs wore off. She wasn't too happy anymore and she just walked over to Michael and buried her head in his chest. I must not have given her enough of the drugs. He picked her up and carried her to their room. "What?" Anita asked. We all explained everything that had happened after Anita left my house that night. "She is even diagnosed with nightshift amnesia." Michael said as he came back into the living room, this time without Mari. "Wow, I missed all this?" She said. She was pretty shocked. I would be too if I was her.

After a while Mari came back from the room and sat on Michael's lap. He blushed and pulled her in for a cuddle. We were watching a movie so we all just sat there. Eventually Anita went somewhere with Calum.

When the movie was over I looked over and saw that Mari was asleep in Michael's arms. When will those two just date already. I looked over at Luke and smiled. Me and Luke actually have a secret. We are dating. Early yesterday morning he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes. We have to keep it a secret though. This way nothing gets leaked because Luke doesn't want me getting hate or having this being posted on everything. This secret was our getaway, and I liked it.

Michael's POV

I looked down to see that Mari was asleep. How sweet. It makes me feel good to know that I am comforting to her. It was about 8:00 so I asked Luke for some help with Mari as Sky walked of to their room. He seemed impatient as he helped me, almost like he had something to do or someone to see, but I just shook it of. I thanked him as he moved the sheets out of the way for me to lay Mari down. He walked out and I tucked her in. I crawled in beside her and I felt her stir. I looked over and saw that she was trying to get more covers on. She must be cold. She saw me looking so I just held my arms out. She crawled into me and I wrapped my arms around her. "Thank you." Was all she said before she fell asleep again. A while later I fell asleep with her in my arms once again. I never want her to leave, but I can think about that later.
