Chapter 25 - Going Home

Luke's POV

She passed out again at 3:30 am. Now that she did we all came back inside. Michael was really beating himself up every time he left her side. I don't know if this is healthy for him not to be with her.

I walked inside to see Mari already back awake. She was giggling and pointing out the most obvious things to everyone. Michael told me she was happy when she had drugs earlier, but this is just loony. I walked over and Mari wanted to whisper something in my ear. "Sky likes you. Just get some alone time while your here. Make her day!" She whispered. I am so glad that she will remember this, or maybe not since she is on drugs.

"MICHAEL!" She yelled. Michael was right beside her but she stilled called for him. "Yea?" He said. I could hear their conversation but I was too busy looking for Sky. "Please cuddle with me. Please?" Damn, he is whipped. I looked over and she was scooting over so that he could crawl into the hospital bed. She laid her head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around her waist. I stepped out of the room for a minute to go see if Sky is at the hospital's cafe.

I got to the cafe but didn't see Sky. I thought I might as well get something so I got me a donut and sat down at one of the tables. Someone walked up and asked "is this seat taken?" I looked up and saw it was Sky. "No, go right ahead." She had her hair in a messy pony tail while her clothes were covered in some white powder. "What's on your clothes?" I asked. She looked down and laughed. "After I came out of the bathroom I saw Mari and Michael cuddling. Calum must have been bored so he pulled out some powdered donuts from his bag. He started to throw them until I caught most of them and started to throw them back. We called truce so I came here to get him more until I saw you." I blushed. I could see her cheeks getting red too which made me smile.

After about 10 mins of silence she started to get up. I thought about what Mari said and I knew I couldn't just let her leave. "Wait..." I said. The plan in my head wasn't perfect but it might just make her day. "Yeah?" I stood up and walked over to her. I was very close. There was about 1 inch of space between us. I panicked. I didn't know what to do, so my hormones took over. I crashed my lips onto her's. She tensed at first but then eased into it and started to kiss back. Her lips were so soft and they gave me butterflies in my stomach. I realized we were still in the cafe so I pulled back and whispered to her, "later." She blushed and as soon as we were walking back to the room. We saw everyone coming down the hall. They gave Mari the all clear and we were all heading home. "I can't wait to sleep!" Mari said. She was still drugged up I guess so that was going to be interesting.

When we got home it was about 3:45 and we all just went to bed. I crawled into bed and saw Michael there. You got to be kidding me. I got back up and went over to Mari and Sky's room. Mari wasn't asleep yet so I picked her up and she went "WEEEEEEE!" Curse these stupid drugs. "What are you doing?" Sky asked. I just gave it to her strait. "I'm switching spots with Mari." She thought about it and just rolled back over.

I took Mari to my spot and laid her down. She was still having fun with drugs so she moved closer to Michael and climbed on top of him. She started to play with his hair and poke his cheeks until he woke up. "Hi!" She said. He just smiled and laughed at her. He laid her back next to him as I walked out. The doctor said he is going to send us some more of those drugs tomorrow, and if she becomes upset and confused about the whole situation then we give her some. Especially if she starts to hurt people or herself, but I doubt she will do that.

When I got back to Sky she was still awake. I crawled into the bed and we just stared at each other. "So...whatcha wanna do?" She asked. She must be having trouble sleeping, I know I am. "We could resume our previous conversation." I said. She looked confused until she got an idea. "During our last conversation I don't remember very much talking" she said with a grin, "oh, really?" I replied. With that I leaned it and kissed her. My lips started to tingle and I pulled her closer to me. Our lips moved in perfect sync and it felt amazing. Earlier we had about 1 inch between us, but not this time. There was absolutely no space between us this time. She pulled back and we just caught our breath. I didn't realize I hadn't been breathing. She laid her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and we stayed this way for a while. I gave her a quick kiss on the head before she fell asleep. I thought about today and what great advice Mari gave me. She should give advice while drugged more often.
