Chapter 31 - 'Oops'

Luke's POV

Me and Sky were laying down on the couch watching 'Big Hero 6'. She was laying on top of me with her head on my chest and my arms wrapped around her. Everyone was gone so we had the whole hotel room to ourselves. The movie was pretty funny but we were both caught up in each other's company. Sky sat up for a moment before turning off the TV. She was sort of straddling me but I wasn't complaining. She set the remote back down and looked at me. "You know, the boys said they will be gone for about 2 hours. Why don't we do something fun?" She said. "Like what?" I asked. She got a big grin on her face. "Let me see your hands..." She said. I held out my hands and she immediately grabbed them and pinned them down above my head. I like wonder where this is going? "Let's do something that normal couples do." She whined giving me a pouty face.

"Like what?" I asked. We could waste this time to go out when there was nobody home right now, plus we both knew that neither of us wanted to go anywhere. She leaned down and started to kiss me. It was different this time though. It wasn't tense like our kisses usually were, because this time we didn't have to hide. The kiss deepened and she let go of my hands. I flipped us around this way I was now over her instead. I wanted to freeze time right here and stay in this moment forever. That is, until I licked her bottom lip. She gladly gave me access and we fought for dominance. I won and I felt her hands press onto my chest. We knew this is as far as we both would go but that didn't stop this moment. The kiss deepened and I felt myself getting more and more restless. I wanted to share her with the world. I wanted everyone to know that she is mine and I am her's.

As quickly as our moment began, it stopped as we heard, "WHAT THE HELL?" We jumped about 2 feet causing as much space between us as the couch would allow. I looked over to see Mari in the kitchen staring at us. Her cheeks were tear stained and her hair was a mess. What happened? "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD!" She yelled as she ran out of the house. I looked over at Sky. She got up and ran out the door to catch Mari. "Oops..." Was all I could say as she did. I hope I didn't mess anything up between them because it looks like Mari is having enough do deal with already.

Sky's POV

I ran out the door as fast as I could. I knew she would take the stairs because the elevator would take too long to come up if she wanted to leave. I opened the stair doors and ran for the lobby. I stopped at the top of the 1st flight of stairs to see Mari at the bottom clutching her ankle and crying. "Honey, are you okay?" I asked. I did this soft voice that she loves hearing me talk in. It's the only voice she really responds to when she is like this. "The world wants to watch my life burn, and I can't to anything about it." She said. Her voice sent shivers down my spine. She never talked in such negative ways. She was always happy go lucky with a smile on her face 24/7. "Oh, that's not true. name one thing." I said. I should have said something different. "My nightshift amnesia, this stupid ankle, my friend sucking face with someone we will be leaving soon, stupid people on Twitter, this whore in Panda Express that called me ugly, and Michael!" She started to breath heavily. Is she having a panic attack? "Hold on wait right here." I said. "Don't you even dare get those stupid drugs because A. I hate how they make me act, and B. I hate the needle that you have to give it to me through." She said. She was right, I was going to get her drugs to get her to calm down.

"Mari, you need talk this out. Tell me everything." With that she sang like a canary. She told me everything from the time she left for Panda Express to the when she slipped and hurt her ankle on the stairs. "Aww, I'm sorry honey. Come on let's get you upstairs." I said. I grabbed her arm and draped it over my shoulders. We got off into the second floor which was closer so we could take the elevator back to the hotel room. We walked in to see all the boys sitting on the couch. Michael looked like he was hit by a train. Once he saw us he sprung up. 'Sit' I mouthed to him and he slowly sat back down. We made our way to Mari's room and I set her on the bed. She instantly started crying and reached around in the nightstand for something. She tossed me the bag with her drugs in them and pulled up her sleeve. "Do it! I don't want to hurt like this anymore!" She yelled. I knew it would calm her but it wasn't right. She must have seen Michael too, because I think something bad happened between them. "I'm only giving them to you because it's almost 8:30." I said. I wanted her to know that she could just take away her pain with drugs. I pulled out the needle and measured the right amount. I grabbed her arm and gave her the injection.

"Thank you... I'm sorry for how I reacted when I walked in." She spoke. The drugs haven't kicked in yet, but in about 1 minute they would so I had to tell her this now. "Don't be, I should have told you that Luke and I are dating. I was just scared that it would leak and I would get hate." She started to giggle. I knew my time was up because she wouldn't remember after this point. She started to get up and walk over to me. "You and Luke are dating?" She asked. She laughed a bit and I knew I made a terrible mistake telling her this now. "IM SO EXCITED FOR YOU! YOU ARE DATING YOUR DREAM MAN!" She yelled. Well, crap. This is just great. "What are you guys yelling about?" Ash said as he poked his head into the room. I wonder how well this is going to go?
