"That's not fair! You started, so you do the worst job!" Y/n jelled, tossing the garbage bag back to Lena. "I'll do those form thingies, but you do the garbage."

"I only put a little bit of paint on you! You were the one who needed payback, so you were the one to make it a big deal! You should at least do the toilets!"

"Ugh, you're such a kid!"

"And you're such a drama queen!"

Y/n pinched the bridge of her nose in an attempt to calm herself down, "Fine, I'll do those student forms, you the garbage and then we'll split the toilets." y/n surrendered. "You the men's bathroom and I the women's."

"Why do I get the men's bathroom? That isn't-"

"I already gave in once, you're not going to get the women's toilet." y/n interrupted her, fire burning in her eyes, letting Lena know she doesn't have any chance anymore.

"Fine, I'll do the men." Lena slumped, picking up the garbage bag. "I'm not going to wait 'till you're done though. I'll be out before you know." She assured her.

"That's fine by me. As long as you do your job well so we don't have to come back." Y/n said.

"I will."

"Good"

"Good"

"Bye then"

"Yes. Bye"

Boring. Every new word y/n read and every page she flipped was boring. Every new student form was boring, just like every new student itself. Screw it, the whole school was boring. When could she finally go home?

She was about to fall asleep when she heard the door squicking, indicating that someone was coming in. Hastily, she looked over to the door, only to find Lena standing there.

"Hi" was what she said after contemplating for a good minute and raising her hand awkwardly.

Y/n couldn't hide her confusion and Lena didn't miss her expression. "I wanted to apologize for snapping at you earlier, that wasn't very mature of me." she told her, facing her shoes and her hands clasped together behind her back, slowly rolling from her tips to the ball of her feet and back. Her pose was immensely cute, even though y/n would never admit that out loud.

"Don't worry about it. I shouldn't have gotten so mad either." y/n replied from behind the stack of papers, shattered over the library desk. She showed a small smile and seeing Lena smile back at her, somehow made her feel that warmth in her chest again, it had been a long time since she acknowledged that feeling.

The silence grew and y/n grew impatient, wanting to continue the boring forms, as she wanted to go home really bad. "Can I help you with that? I'm done with the garbage and toilets anyway." Lena offered to y/n's surprise. Was she dreaming? She subtly pinched herself under the desk. There's no way, this must be a dream where she can feel pain! Lena didn't just ask that, right?

"Earth to y/n." Lena said, a playful smirk displayed on her lips.

"Oh, yeah. Sure, I need to do 10 more, I think. But you really don't have to." y/n blinked, still not believing the situation. "I mean, we split the chores earlier and you did your part."

"I know." Lena stated and walked to the seat next to y/n, "But I want to, those chores weren't equally split anyway." She sat down and took 6 papers from the stack of files, starting to check them. Y/n was staring, mouth agape. She knew she was, hoped Lena didn't know though. But even if she wanted to close her mouth, she wouldn't be able to. That's how astonished she was.
