A Monday a few weeks later, when they had grown even closer and were open about their relationship, y/n went to Lena's house right before school so they could ride together. Somehow the butterflies in her belly had tripled in amount and never stopped flying around making her smile and blush out of nowhere. She had thought it would lay low after telling Lena how she felt but oh boy was she wrong. Whenever Lena was even as much as in her sight she would feel her tummy explode and a huge grin would beam on her face. She thinks her smile might be contagious, for Lena always grows one on her lips too whenever y/n's being a smiley tomato again. Especially the bubbly and worry-free laugh of y/n has that effect on Lena."Incoming!" Lisa yelled from behind the door when y/n had ringed the bell. She was a little earlier than normal so they were probably still eating breakfast or something. She opened the door with still slightly damp hair which was quite unusual for Lisa since she always took her time to style her hair in the neatest way possible. "Y/N!" she exclaimed and hugged her like she does every morning, "Lena y/n's here!" she shouted towards the stairs and let y/n inside "She's still in the bathroom" Lisa explained, so that's why her hair's still damp, "I think she might have fallen in the toilet because she's been in there for like half an hour or something and you know Lena: she never takes long to get ready", y/n laughed and said she should maybe go check on her then but instead plopped down on the couch and Lisa went back to the kitchen to make her and Lenas breakfast.
"Y/n can you come upstairs for a moment?" Lena yelled back from what was probably the bathroom. Y/n noticed Lisa rolling her eyes at that while she murmured a soft, sarcastic -why's that- under her breath and she laughed a bit in herself knowing Lisa was actually ecstatic that they were back together. "I'm sitting quite comfortable right now though," Y/n answered, teasing Lena for she knew exactly why she wanted her upstairs when she was much too early to leave for school.
"Please?" a soft plea came out of the bathroom and y/n could imagine Lena standing there with her big puppy eyes and her pout on those plump lips of hers. She already felt her cheeks grow warm again just thinking of the sight of her girl. After a grumpy 'fine', she jumped off the couch again and climbed the stairs as slowly as she could just to make her cheeks look at least a bit decent again.
When she entered the bathroom and observed a pouting Lena she couldn't restrain her laughter and Lena pouted even deeper. "Don't laugh it's not funny." she whined as y/n laughed even harder and went to give Lena a hug, though she swatted y/n's hands away "It's not funny!" As she said that she slumped her shoulders in the most adorable way y/n had ever seen. And again y/n laughed even harder, tears starting to form in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, it's truly not." Y/n voiced out, though she was still howling with laughter. "Oh quit it." Lena stomped the floor with her feet, trying to make a statement and to come over as intimidating while, honestly, y/n just found her more adorable by the second. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll quit," Y/n answered lowering her laugh and grabbing Lena's cheeks in that soft way she always does, like Lena's the most beautiful thing on earth and is absolutely not allowed to break. It makes Lena feel special and y/n knows that, so she'll always grab her cheeks in that way. She gave a light peck on Lena's pouting lips and whispered against them "I'm sorry, it's just, even though you're adorable. You're also kind of an idiot sometimes."
"Well, it's not my fault that those brushes are so complicated." She pouted and grabbed the brush that was fully tangled in her hair to prove her point. "It's like they're designed to get stuck." Y/n grabbed the round brush and examined how tangled it was.
"Damn Lena, that's gonna take a while to get out." She stated, grabbing the brush with a thin end from the cabin and setting herself on the closed lid of the toilet. Patting the space between her legs she told Lena to come and sit down.
