things to keep in mind throughout this fic:
- master fu is still guardian
- characters are aged up
- gabriel agreste was hawk moth. but there's another new villain called shadow moth (so gabriel is NOT shadow moth, and was never shadow moth. shadow moth is a completely new villain!)
- significant season five storylines (like adrien and mari dating) did not occur in this fic's timeline. this idea was thought of before season five, therefore it doesn't include any s5 elements. there are other changes, so just beware and pay attention to where the story is going to figure everything out :)
