"ALRIGHT, I'll do it," Marinette tells Tikki, the kwami instantly cheering back in response.

"That's great, Marinette! Here are the earrings," Tikki hands her, well, now holder, the
miraculous of creation—the ladybug miraculous. Marinette walks over to a corner mirror and puts the black earrings on, the memories of being the famous superheroine flooding back to her. Once she's done, Marinette turns back around to face Tikki.

"Is Plagg.. getting Chat Noir too?" Marinette hesitantly asks.

"Yeah. Yeah, he is." Tikki answers. Marinette looks away after hearing this, and Tikki speaks to console her, "Marinette, I know you don't want to see him right now, but it's the only way to save Paris! You and Chat Noir were able to defeat Mr. Agreste before, so you two are the most capable for this job."

The bluebell-eyed girl looked back at her kwami, starting to understand. She couldn't refuse her responsibilities just because of her emotions. Being Ladybug always came first for Marinette, "Okay, if you say so."

Tikki smiles, taking a sigh of relief, "Great! I'm meeting with Plagg tomorrow to see if Chat Noir agreed to take up the miraculous again, so in the meantime, we can catch up."

"Alright! Uh, let's see..." Marinette trailed off, trying to think of things to say. Yes, Tikki and her had always been the truest of friends, but it had been so long. It was difficult to muster up things to say. But then, it hit her.

"Oh! When we defeated Hawk Moth, I was still halfway through my senior year. But once you went back to Master Fu, I was just about done with high school. So, like you know, I went to London for college. Then, I graduated, moved to New York, and I now work under Elizabeth Strant—only the most famous fashionista ever." Marinette giggled, "I'm currently just creating small pieces, like tops and jackets that get sold to minor clients. But hopefully I can work my way up to the top; have my work sold all across the world."

"Wow, that's great, Marinette. I'm really proud of you." Tikki smiled, flying up to Marinette to give her a hug.

"Okay, think about it this way: If you become Chat Noir again, you get to see Ladybug. Yes, things are a bit rough between you too right now, but you loved her. And I'm sure you still love her. And love beats anything, right?" Plagg tried to reason.

"Uh- well, sure, yeah. But that's not the point. She lied  to me, Plagg." Adrien answered, groaning.

"Technically, she didn't lie to you. It was more of her ghosting you." Plagg smugly reminded.

"Okay Mr. Technically. That still doesn't make it any better."

"Well, just resolve things! For the sake of Paris. It's not that difficult."

"It really, really is, Plagg! I mean, what am I supposed to do, just bring up the obvious tension? Then what? We argue? We have a rocky relationship?" Adrien bursted out.

"You could just.. not bring up the tension?" Plagg brought up, partially unsure of his suggestion.

"Then we would have horrible communication. Plagg, there's no way I can do this. I'm sorry, but I just can't." Adrien said, heading to his bedroom and shutting the door behind him. Plagg saw this, and decided to follow him, phasing through the door.

"Adrien, I'm going to say this once more, and never again, I promise: I understand that there are some unresolved issues between you and Ladybug. But in life, everyone has to overcome their own challenges eventually. And I think that this is one of your challenges. So please, just take the ring back. Do it for the sake of Paris. Do it for yourself."

Adrien stayed silent, not responding and just looking away from Plagg as he sat on the bed. After a while, Plagg spoke again, "You don't have to make the decision right away. But I'm meeting up with Tikki tomorrow to discuss everything. So just.. please, rethink it, okay?" With that, Plagg left the room.
