"Declan, please come to bed. You've been in front of your computer the whole day now. You haven't even eaten anything yet." She places her gentle hand on my back, slowly caressing me.

Letting out another frustrated groan at her suggestion. Why can't she understand that I must not take a rest? "I'll come to bed later, I need to finish this."

"Declan, ple-"

"I need to finish this." I snarl at her, her body went tense as I snap at her.

Her whole muscle went tense then slowly backing away from me. She finally reaches the bed and I could hear the faint creak of the metallic frame of the bed, which gives me an assumption that she's sitting. "Declan, I know how important this is to you and I admire your determination, but you got to know that too much of that determination can ruin you."

Slowly shaking my head, controlling my frustration before it took full-control of my thoughts. "I just need time. More time," My throat went dry at my last statement.

I could hear her letting out a deep sigh and I practically can hear the thoughts that's been flying in her mind. It's like as if our brains have an invisible cord that connects us to one another. "I've loved you because I thought I would have a happy life with you, but I didn't expect it to be this stressful."

I couldn't speak back to her insight. I'm too busy finishing this manuscript, but I can hear her whole body scooting over to the head of the bed. Then silence. Intense silence in the bedroom. A loving boyfriend would have joined his girlfriend in bed and cuddle each to sleep, but I keep on working this manuscript. Soon I'll reach my dream, even if it means to sacrifice everything.

My whole body immediately wakes up from its slumber as a loud banging sound repeatedly enters my ears. I listen closely to pinpoint where the loud banging came from, but before I could even lift my head and body to investigate the noise, I've found myself staring with the reflection on my computer, my bloodshot eyes give me an indication that I've cried during my nap. A nap that apparently took 6 hours!? Last time I check before I went to a "quick" nap it was still in the late morning, but as I gaze out of my bedroom window, the early evening is casting down its dusky gown on the sky.

I can't believe I've almost slept through the day, without even making any progress whatsoever. Raking my frantic fingers across my hair as I regain all my consciousness. I avoid to even try to scratch my bloodshot eyes because I know for sure that will worsen it to the sensation. Slowly standing on my office chair, I navigate my way to the small bathroom outside my bedroom walls. Turning on the sink, the sound of running water seems to have soothed my whole consciousness to relax.

What would it be like to be just a flowing liquid with so much freedom? I find myself wondering that question as I wash out my tired face. Is it possible to reincarnate as water? Because that would be wonderful if that's possible. Finally turning off the sink as I shake my wet, dripping hands before I dry them off with the towel right against the door. I tend to let my face dry naturally since the water feels to cool and nice against my tired face.

Letting out a heavy sigh, I've found myself staring right in front of the mirror above the sink. Thankfully, the bloodshot eyes I've had earlier had died down, but the weary tiredness is still visible on my face. Since when did I feel insecure about what I look like? Shaking my head slowly as I force my whole body to walk out of the small bathroom.

But before I fully drag my whole body out of the bathroom and back in front of the computer screen, the loud banging I've heard earlier came back. Am I imaging this, or there's really a loud banging that's occurring somewhere around here? Standing very still as I focus my whole senses to my hearing and try to pinpoint where does the loud banging came from. The sound isn't actually from my apartment room, but it's loud enough for me to hear.
