Once I'm ready for the day, I stroll my way to the door. While I twist the doorknob, I raise my wrist to check what time it is. Well, it seems like I'll be late for 5 minutes, but I don't think the professor will mind being late. As long as I'll be listening to the lecture and attempt to follow through with the rest of the lecture. I swing the door open wide only to be startled by a grinning familiar face.

"Good morning, Declan!" Is she always this cheery during the morning? If so, I don't think I'll match her cheeriness in the morning.

"How the hell did you know where my dorm room is, Sarah?" I raise an eyebrow at her while my hands behind my back make sure that I lock my door. It turns out that it's quite difficult to lock a door without turning to see where the keyhole.

"Well," She holds out her tongue as she trails the word for like a minute. Enough time to make her think of an answer, I hope. "I may or may not have asked people all around to help me locate your dorm room," She gives me that mischievous grin and that alone is enough for me to be convinced at her statement. I'll be a terrible detective or investigator.

I involuntarily let out a yawn since I'm still feeling a bit sleepy, "I'm guessing you want to walk with me to our class in the morning?"

She raises her hands in front of her and begins to fidget each of her fingers. I can't help but to wonder how she's able to refrain from biting her fingernails as her fidgeting habit. "Well, both of us is late, so I'll be less embarrassing to show up late alone."

I can't find the proper words to use to that claim, might as well just accept defeat. Shrugging my shoulders, I begin to walk right beside her. "We have to go, or we'll be catching the end of the lecture," A smile escapes my lips, and it seems to make her smile back at me.

There are multiple things I couldn't believe on what happened today. The first thing is that Sarah have walked with me to our morning lecture and also for the classes that we attend together. The second thing is that half of the professor in my classes are absent because of a flu. Some sent out a substitute, but most of the time, the substitute just let us leave the class early without teaching something. They just brought up their life for like half an hour before they let us out. I would like to praise to the existence of flu season. The day when I ate dirt when I was a dumb little child finally pays off because that must have been the reason on why my immune system is strong. It's not like I'm complaining or something, but at least I'll be able to hang out in the school library more often. And that leads to the third thing I can't believe that had happened, Sarah decides to join me in the library. I usually like being alone in the library, but this is new to me. So new that I find it both amusing and distracting.

I can't seem to flip to the next page of the book because my mind is busy on listening to Sarah's gossipy nature. Instead of reading, I instead begin to just listen to her ranting about how much of an attention-seeker one of her friends. She implicitly told me that her friend will act like she isn't like other girls just to get the attention of the football team, or any sport team they come across.

"So you're informing me that she's some sort of pick-me girl?" I find myself placing an arm with open palm as I lean my cheek in my hand while my eye glisten with amusement at how she's ranting.

A groan escapes her mouth as she rolls her eyes. That must have been the most satisfying eye-roll if it makes her groan that loud. "The worst and annoying kind," She leans back in her chair, blowing raspberries like a child.

It seems like I'm beginning to enjoy her company more and more as each day passes. Listening to juicy gossip is my new hobby, but I still find myself reading books in the isolation of my own dorm room.
