Chapter 20: Promises

I hesitated as I looked at Hikku and Genma, then took a deep breath and activated my Sharingan. The look on their faces was priceless. They were so confused and had no idea what was going on. "Get behind me," I shouted, and they all moved, I did the hand signal for a grand fire ball jutsu and shoot the fire from my mouth. The mist started to dissipate and I started looking for Tenzo's chakra. "He is there," I pointed to a bubble of water that seemed to be floating on the water, I looked under water and there were the six chakras that I was sensing. "Shit, they are underwater" I said pointing at the chakras that were visible to me and Kakashi because of the Sharingan.

"What do we do?" Genma asked Kakashi.

"First we need to get Tenzo off that water prison jutsu," I told them as I waved the signs. "Water style: water fang bullets," I said and slammed my hand in the water creating spikes that went under water in all directions. I look to see the water turning red near us, "got one," I said.

"Damm yams, what else are you hiding from us?" Hikku said more annoyed than surprised.

"Not now Hikku, Yami, do that again and I'll followed with one of mine." Kakashi said standing next to me, "the rest of you don't touch the water"

I nodded and I waved the signs again before slamming my hand in the water. Kakashi did the same and send a lighting released that together with my water jutsu electrocuted everything within a half mile radius. The water fang jutsu helped search for the chakra of the enemy and the lightning stroke every single one of them, either killing them or knocking them unconscious. The water prison jutsu became undone an Tenzo fell on the water sinking deep down. I focused my chakra on my feet and bolted towards him, before diving deep down to get him.

Genma and Hikku followed and stayed in the surface waiting to pull Tenzo out. They carried him toward the shore and started checking for his pulse, "he is not breathing," Genma said.

"Shit," Hikku said as he started to do CPR, "Yami come, I'm not kissing him."

"Idiot, moved," I said and took over the CPR, I did multiple sets and still there was no sign of a heartbeat. "Damm it, Tenzo just fucking breathe" I whispered as I kept doing CPR and mouth to mouth breathing, "you can't die on us, not yet."

"Yams, I think he is gone," Hikku said, his voice was breaking .

"Shut the hell up Hikku," I growled at him with tears on my eyes, "we are a team and we don't give up on each other."

"Let me," Genma said as he took over the CPR.

I looked to see Kakashi's eyes focused on Tenzo. There was sadness and pain in his eyes, I noticed he held his ribs and there was blood over his shirt. I looked at Tenzo and remembered the time my father saved a bird that was drowning he used his water affinity to guide the water out of the bird's lungs and then did CPR a couple times and the bird started flying again.

"Stop, I have an idea." I shouted and Genma immediately stopped, "take the rest of his armor off" I said and Genma did so quick. I summoned a kunai and ripped his shirt opened.

"What are you going to do?" Hikku asked with scared look on his face.

"Relax, I'm not going to kill him," I said as I placed my hand on Tenzo's tone chest. I focused all my chakra in my hands and gathered all the water from his lungs. Then, I moved my hands up his chest and throat guiding the water out of his mouth. I Immediately turned his body to get all the water out, then laid him on his back again and continued to do CPR. "Come on Tenzo, stay alive, damm it."

"Yami, I'm afraid he is gone," Genma said, "he has been out for a while now. If there was a way to restart his heart but-"

"That's it," I interrupted Genma, who gave me a bright idea, "Kakashi get over here," Kakashi moved slowly and hesitant, "come on get your ass here fast," I told him irritated.
