Sasuke graduated the academy top of his class, and to my surprise he was assigned to Team Kakashi.

"Be nice with him," I warned Kakashi.

"He seems like a really smart kid," He said while looking at his file.

"It's the Uchiha genes," I bragged.

"Alright, I got the bells, I got to go test these kids," he said leaving some money on the table.

"I'll be waiting," I said looking at him walking away. Since we left the AMBU, Kakashi and I get together to have tea every Monday in the morning before heading to work. All day I was counting the minutes to see him walk in the Hokage building and give his report. Once I sense his chakra and I jumped up from my desk and rushed towards the entrance. I saw his silver hair coming up the stairs and ambushed him then and there, "so, what happened?"

"Yami, what the hell?" I scared the living soul out him.

"Tell me," I grabbed him by his vest.

"Surprisingly, they passed," he said with a smile visible through his mask, "you've raised him well."

I was so happy with the news that I gave Kakashi a tight hug without even thinking about it and to my surprised he hugged me back. I pulled away and took two steps back, "he will do great with you," I told him, "I know you will take good care of him."

"I promise you, I will," he said and we walked up the stairs together.

Some time passed, and Kakashi and his team went on their first mission outside the village. On their way, they encountered a very dangerous rogue shinobi named Zabuza Momochi. Luckily, Sasuke and Naruto worked together and along with Kakashi and Sakura, they were was able to defeat the man and his companion.

...Yami stop worrying so much, Sasuke is fine. Yeah, him and Naruto are still struggling to get along, but they will be fine. No need to worry. You take care and see you soon,

       Kakashi

Kakashi and I were exchanging letters using one of Lady Runa's owls. I hope they can make it in time for Sasuke's birthday, I thought.

A week has passed since I received Kakashi's letter, I thought as I walked home from the Hokage's building. Sasuke's birthday is tomorrow, he will be 13, "a teenager" I sighed. He was already rebellious and moody enough. I must be the Uchiha genes, I laughed. I've been in a really bad mood lately and have been somewhat rude to people. I couldn't help it, I was tired and worried about Sasuke and Kakashi. I was also working late, helping the Hokage organize the Chunin exams. For some reason, he thought it was a good idea that I could help Anko, Hayate, and Ibiki to organize the exams. I never like Anko, and she hated me since Kakashi dumped her.

"Hey, you," Kakashi tapped my shoulder and I almost bumped into him. I was lost in thought I didn't realize he was in front of me.

"You are home?" I said grabbing his hand, "Sasuke?"

"He is fine, he went home," he said nodding towards Sasuke's apartment, "we got here, earlier today."

"He must be tired," I sighed in relief to know that he was home safe.

"Come on, let's go grab a bite," he said pulling my hand, "I want to talk to you about something."

We stopped at the remen shop and ate and talked about the upcoming Chunin exams. "Are you sure they are ready?" I asked hesitant. "Kakashi, you know how difficult these exams are, not only that, but they are multiple fatalities every single time." I sighed, "I almost was one."
