Chapter 36: Itachi and Kisame

Four months have passed since I started working along the Akatsuki. I did missions mainly with Deidara and Sasori, and Kakazu and Hidan. Aside of Kisame, I started to become more comfortable with Deidara, he was really nice with me, but hated Itachi. Itachi and I still shared the room, he put both beds together so now we had more room. We would spend a lot of time just talking and train together, I learned to use my Sharingan even more effectively. We talked about the Mangekyou Sharingan and all the powers that came with it including the different risks.

One particular day, I went to train with Kisame, he was curious to see what kind of water jutsu I could throw at him. We spared in the middle of the lake for a while, Kisame was very strong, he had triple the chakra that I had. I was able to copy some jutsu from him with my Sharingan and I could tell that annoyed him. He got serious and send a few water dragons my ways, which I encounter with more water dragons. "Stop copying my jutsu, I thought the Uchiha were more original," he complained.

"Is originality what you want?" I asked and focus all the chakra in my feet. I made three shadow clones and bolted his way creating the mirror flickery technique. I could sense his confusion as he now saw multiple shadow clones of me in front of him. I rushed behind him and pointing my index finger on his left temple. "I could blow your brains out right now, is that original enough for you," I asked him and he just laughed.

"Damm you got me," he said raising his hands.

"Damm Kisame you are an Idiot," Hidan yelled. I looked up to see Hidan, Sasori and Itachi watching us from the distance.

"We got an audience," I told Kisame giving him a smile, "thanks for training with me, Kisa."

I walked toward the entrance and Itachi followed me, "you mastered Shisui's flickery technique well," he said. 

I looked at him and smiled, "it took a me a few years but I'm nowhere near as good as he was." I went straight to take a shower, once I was done, I walked in the room and Itachi was seating on the bed looking at his hands.

"Are you okay?" I asked him concerned.

"Yeah," he looks at me and smiled. I jumped in the bed and we talked about when we were kids and how happy we were. We talked about our academy days and how he would always protect me. I laughed just at the memories, I wanted to asked about Shisui's death but I was afraid. What if I would get a response that will only hurt me more. I turned and hugged Itachi, I buried my face on his side until I fell asleep.

Then next day, Itachi and I were eating breakfast when Pein communicated with us telepathically. Itachi, Kisame and I were going on a mission in the Land of Snow. It was our very first mission together and I was excited, I looked at Itachi and he just smiled. Pein told Itachi all the details of the mission and I could see in his face that it was going to be a long one.

"When do we leave?" I asked him, "and for how long?"

"Tomorrow morning and it will take us at least two weeks," he sighed and took another drink of his tea.

"Oh come on, it wont be that bad," I said looking at him, "we are finally going on a mission together, it would be fun."

"It will be dangerous," he said looking at me.

"Itachi, you do not have to worry about me," I looked straight into his eyes. "What happened to me will never happened again, trust me, plus I can take care of myself. "

"I will always worry about you," he drank the last of his tea and stood up. "Always, don't forget that," I drank the last of my tea with a wide smile.

"Hey Izu," Kisame walked in the kitchen with a smirk, "I guess we finally get to work together."

"You'll be scare to see the things she can do," Hidan said coming in the kitchen in just sweats, with no shirt on. Hidan was a hot, his body was built perfectly and he had a handsome face. However, it was his attitude and loud mouth that made him unattractive. I stared at him for a while until my gazed caught Itachi's.
