Chapter 25: Rogue Ninja

Six days into our mission, I felt uneasy all day. It was like if something bad was happening. I send an owl to Kakashi just in case, but I didn't get a response. We delivered last scroll and got a response, then headed back home.

"Let's hurry up and get home," I told Tenzo and Hikku.

"What is the hurry?" Hikku complained.

"I have a bad feeling," I said and they followed without complaining.

We got to the village two days later at around 8 pm. I thanked the guys and dismissed them, "I'll go give the responses to lady Hokage. See you guys around," I told them and they vanished. I was walking towards the Hokage's office, when I saw Kakashi waiting outside. "You didn't reply to my letter," I told him standing right in front of him.

"Come on in, we have to talk," he said looking away, avoiding my gaze. He opened the door and we walked in the office. 

"What is going on?" I asked looking at him and at the Hokage.

"Yami, I am afraid Sasuke... has left the village," Lady Tsunade said.

I felt my heart dropped when she said that. I looked at Kakashi in disbelief. He is become a rogue ninja. I stood there as they explained how they chase after him and they couldn't find him. Now, Naruto, Jiraiya and Sakura were chasing after him. All I could do was clutch my fists and bite the inside of my lip until it bled. I finally took a deep breath and asked them, "When did he leave?"

"He left four days ago," Kakashi said not even looking at me.

"Here are the responses from the four Kage," I said as I handed lady Tsunade the scrolls. "I have completed my mission, now if you excuse me, I am going to go look for Sasuke," I said walking away from the office.

"Where are you going to go?" Kakashi called after me, "I already looked for him all around the land of Fire, he is gone."

"I don't know Kakashi, to the end of the fucking world if necessary," I shouted at him. Then took a deep breath to calm myself, "it's Sasuke, who we are talking about, he is my responsibility." The tears started to run down my face, "he is like a little brother to me, I will not let Orochimaru have him."

"We will find him," he held my hand and pulled me into a hug, "I promise you, we will find him and we will bring him home."

One week had passed and there was no sign of Sasuke anywhere. Where can you be? I wondered as I walked towards the cliff where Shisui died. As I was getting closer, I sense a familiar chakra already there, it was him... Itachi.

"You come here often," he said seating on a log.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him as I got closer.

"Where is Sasuke?" always answering my questions with more questions, I thought.

"He is gone," I said as I placed the flowers down at the end of the cliff. "He went seeking power from Orochimaru," he just sighed, but I could tell it bothered him.

"What the hell did you expect? Itachi," I walked towards him angry, "you showed up to the village, you attacked him and put him under your fucking Tsukuyomi. What the hell is wrong with you?" I shouted almost at his face.

He said nothing.

"Damm it, Itachi, Sasuke is just a child. Wh-"

"Weren't we all, Izumi," he said in a upset tone, interrupting me, "I was just a child too, and I killed my people, my mother... my father... I almost kill you too."

I looked at him and saw the pain in his face, "Itachi... Sasuke is all I have," I said with tears on my face.

"I'm sorry, I keep hurting you," he said wiping the tears from my face with his fingers. "Please forgive me," I looked up to see him and there were tears in his eyes.
