-Christian's P.O.V-
I decided to show him a little more of the sights since he hasn't really seen much of them yet.
He's amazed before we even see any of the good stuff. "Oh my god, the trees are awesome!" He exclaims from behind me.
"You said that about the last ten," I answer.
"I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true," he pouts.
"We haven't even made it to the main event."
"I don't think it could be more amazing then this."
"You can decide for yourself," I say as we make it to a clearing.
He walks up beside me and his jaw drops. "...That's a waterfall," he gasps.
"Water is falling, yes."
"...That's a freaking waterfall!" He says even louder.
It takes everything I have not to burst out into laughter. "I didn't know that; thanks for telling me."
He turns to me and grabs my shirt. "Can we get closer?"
"I mean...we can walk under it...but only if you want-"
"Please!" He screams.
This waterfall wasn't one of the big, extravagant ones. It was tall, but the water fell gently into a pond. I also loved it because the water was so transparent. I watch Kaydan as he holds his hand out and touched the water.
"It feels so nice," he smiles.
"You know, if you lean in close you can see a rainbow?"
He looks at me in awe. "No. Way."
I just nod.
When he turns his back to me, I strike. I leap for him, but he's two steps ahead of me.
He turns and looks me in the eye a second before I'm able to contact him. He side steps to my right, then wraps his arms around my torso, joining me for the fall. "Wee!" He screams seconds before we splash into the water.
I can fell him clinging to me as I'm submerged. I resurface pretty quickly, making sure he can breathe too. I swim us back to land and he finally rolls off of me.
"That was cool," he breathes.
"You didn't have to fall in too," I state. "You easily dodged me back there."
"Yeah but...where's the fun in that?"
I look over to him and notice that he's rolled onto his back and is looking up at the sky. I look back in front of me and do the same.
"Thanks for bringing me out here," he says breathing heavily.
"Thanks for wetting my clothes," I retaliate.
I hear him laugh. "I was being serious. It's really beautiful, this nature thing."
I don't say anything, letting the silence agree for me.
We stay out there for a long time, just staring at the sky. We hear the sounds of the water colliding into the pond, the wind blowing against the trees, and a couple of birds here and there. Other than that, it was completely quiet.
I finally sit up to stop myself from nodding off and see that Kaydan has already fallen asleep. I stand up and go over to him then grab his arm. I hoist him onto my back, and carry him to my car. I place him in the passenger's side, and get into the driver's. I start up the car, put the top back up, roll the windows back up, and head back to our apartment building.
-Kaydan's P.O.V-
I wake up to the sound of an engine turning off. I rub my eyes and remember where I am. I look over to Christian.
"We're here," he says getting out.
"Crap!" I exclaim going to join him. I go to the trunk and pick up the pillows.
"What?" He asks as I hurry towards the doors.
"I took a nap!"
"So?"
"You are obviously tired too! We need to hurry up!"
He quickens is pace and makes his way into the building with me, then we head straight into his room. I set the pillows on his floor then turn to look at him. He's not there.
"Christian?" I call.
"Here," he answers throwing something at my face.
It's a dry change of clothes. I thank him and wait for him to go into his bathroom, then I change into his P-Jays. They are one size too big, but they'll do. A couple of seconds later he joins me on his bed and sits on the opposite corner, and faces me.
"Ready?" I question turning my body towards him.
He nods.
"Okay, hand me that pillow."
He obediently grabs one of the body pillows and hands it to me.
"And hand me one of the head pillows." He hands it over.
I stare at him a bit stunned.
Wait, wait, wait...
"...Never mind, I want the other body pillow instead."
He takes the one he gave me, switches it out, hands me the other one, then plops down beside me on the bed as if waiting patiently for orders.
"Can I have some water?"
He gets up and goes downstairs into his kitchen, makes me a cup of water, and brings it back up to me, placing it on the nightstand.
"Thanks."
He nods staying standing.
"...Sit," I say, letting my curiosity get the better of me.
He stares at me puzzled.
"O-On the bed with me!" I specify saving myself.
He climbs on the bed and sits back down beside me, this time resting his head on my shoulder. "I'm so tired," he whispers.
I feel my heartbeat pick up slightly. "I know, that's why I'm trying to get this ready. We'll start with simple things. What is different between me and this pillow?"
"For starters it smells like medicine. You smell like roses," he mutters. "Slightly touched by flames."
"I don't know about the flame part, but the rose smell comes from my shampoo. I could go and get-"
"I hate the smell of roses," he clarifies.
I narrow my eyes. "You don't make any sense!"
"Another difference is," he begins snaking his arms around my waist, "you have a slender waist, and are cold to the touch."
"O-O-Okay! Let's work with one thing at a-"
"And," he continues, slowly bringing me down onto the bed with him, "you have a heartbeat. When ever I wrap my arms around you, your heart always speeds up, just like it did a second ago. It also beats even faster when I do this," he finishes kissing me behind the ear.
I have never felt more embarrassed in my life. I could tell my blush had conquered every region of my face. "...Please stop," I can barely squeak out.
He doesn't respond.
"Ch-Christian?"
His body raises and falls in a slow tempo. He's really asleep, huh?
I exhale relieved.
I though he was going to kill me!
I looked over to the pillows one last time before moving my back a little closer into Christian's. I close my eyes.
