-Kyle's P.O.V-
I pull up to the intercom of Wendy's and roll down my window. I'm greeted by a cool breeze blowing in and the smell of hot grease.
"Hi, welcome to Wendy's, what I can I get for you?" The voice drones out.
"Howdy, may I have a second please?" I ask leaning towards it.
"Tell me when you're ready," it replies.
"You got it!" I sit back in the seat and look at Luke. He's been making faces at himself in the mirror the entire ride, while attempting to convince me that marrying him was the best decision I've ever made in my life.
"-I also know how to fluff a pillow just right. You're head will never flatten it...Like...Ever," he grins at himself, peeking over at me to make sure I'm still listening.
"That's wonderful dear, but I'm more interested in what you'd like to eat," I reach over and push the visor closed so he had to look at me.
He sighs and does his best to face me. "I-"
"-And you can't say me," I interrupt, causing his shoulders to slump.
He decides to shrug soon after.
I study his face and linger on his eyes before turning back to the intercom. "I think I'm ready."
Some static replies to me before a clear voice says, "Shoot."
"I'd like some cheese fries-"
"Hell yes!" Luke adds.
"-and a medium chocolate frosty please," I finish with a grin.
"Babe," he taps my hand.
"That will be 5.25 at the second window," the intercom responds.
"Thanks," I turn the wheel to navigate the tiny drive thru maze.
"Babe," Luke still tries.
I pull up to the second window and hand the guy my card. I read his name tag as he hands it back to me. "Thank you, Jeremy."
He looks shocked at the fact that I used his name and flashes me a small smile. "I-It's no problem!"
Seems like it's one of his first days on the job.
"I-I'll be right back with your food," he slides the window shut and disappears behind the corner.
"You're seriously going to flirt with another guy right in front of-"
I turn to him and place my lips on his shutting him up. I pull back shortly afterwards and stare into his eyes. "What?"
He stares back dazed then finally finds his words. "...What?"
"You've been trying to get my attention for the past few minutes. What do you want?"
He folds his arms and cocks his head to the left.
While he was trying to remember what he was going to say Jeremy comes back with our food. "Here you go."
I take the bag and frosty from him. "Thanks again!"
Luke taps my hand. "I remembered."
Jeremy nods before sliding the window shut.
I drive forward, brake, place the frosty in the cup holder, and hand the bag over to Luke. "Yes?"
He shakes his head. "I forgot again."
"You really are drunk aren't you?" I laugh a bit. "Just eat your fries and relax, alright?" I place both of my hands on the wheel and continue onto the poorly lit roads.
Luke places the bag on the floor of the car and rests his face in his lap. "Hey..."
"Should I donate my time to this, or will it end up being another empty train of thought?"
"I never really forgot," he sighs.
"Oh?"
"...I don't like it when you don't pay attention to me, especially when it's to give it to someone else."
"You do realize that was to get you food right?" I check my mirrors as an excuse to look at him.
"I guess."
I pull over to the side of the road and turn on the hazard lights.
He sits back up and stares out of the windshield. "This isn't my house."
"No shit Sherlock," I shout. He winces, probably from a headache, and I feel bad. I make a note of that as I continue. "Either we stay here for the rest of the night and I can pay attention to you and only you as you sober up, or we can get home first and you can receive extra special attention."
He doesn't look at me.
"...Kinda like a honeymoon resort type deal," I place a hand on his, driving my idea home, hoping he'll let me follow it there.
"Home please," he doesn't hesitate.
I smirk. Keeping my hand over his, I use my other to get us back on the road and toward our destination. In my peripheral vision, I see Luke's head begin to nod as if he's fighting off sleep. Luckily for me I get us home before he loses. I turn off the car and grab the frosty and bag, then get out of the car and walk over to his side. "Come on. You can sleep all you want once we get inside," I help him out and to the door and lock the car as I open the entrance to his house, then soon lock it behind us. I feel him lift his head, then get up altogether.
"We're home!" He exclaims jogging into his room.
I place my shoes at the door, his keys on the counter, and his food on the coffee table in the living room. "Your food is this way," I call out.
"I want to change first!" He yells back.
Hearing him yell reminds me of his possible headache, so I go to the kitchen to get him some water. I fill the clear glass, which only magnifies it insides, then head over to his room. I knock twice before grabbing the doorknob.
"Don't come in!" He screams. "...I'm naked."
"Lucas, are you kidding me? We're both guys!"
There is a thud behind the door. "And I love you! Are we done stating facts now?" He opens the door and I am at eye-level with his bare chest. "Yes, dear?"
I take a step back to see his face. "I brought you some water for your headache."
"Thank Jesus!" He removes the cup from my hand and chugs it in several seconds. He places the cup back in my hand and puts on a blue Power Ranger shirt, then leads me to the couch. He takes the cup back, places it on the table, and sits me down on the couch. He grabs both of my hands and gets down on his knees.
"You know you already proposed to me, right?" I joke.
He shakes his head. "Yeah, but I'm taking it back."
"Who doesn't love who now?" I question with a laugh.
"Kyle," he locks eyes with me, and I shut up. "I don't deserve someone like you, and I'm not going to make you stay by my side if you don't think I'm worthy."
I suck in a breath and hold it.
He kisses the back of my hand and shows me a small smile before turning around to face his food. After he gets his fries out, he turns on the TV. The Princess Bride is on.
I finally breath again. I wanted to make a joke about him divorcing me, but it didn't seem appropriate now that the time has passed, or at all for that matter.
I pull my feet onto the couch with me as I lay down and face my back to the TV. Seconds later I hear Luke moving around, then a blanket is placed over me.
"Thank you," I manage to whisper.
"Get some rest. You've done way more than you needed to today," he says from the ground.
"Okay," I snuggle into the pillow under my head.
And he's the one who doesn't deserve me...
-Christian's P.O.V-
The Princess Bride has been playing for the last 30 minutes, and Kaydan has never stopped trying to take his shirt off. ...Or mine.
"Christian, I'm hot!" he whines pulling his shirt away from his body.
"Kaydan, you are going to damage your shirt," I take his hands into mine.
"Then take it off!" He says a little louder.
"Okay, okay. Hang on." I move in front of him and begin unbuttoning his shirt.
He rubs his thighs together and leans over to rest his head on my shoulder, making it harder for me to remove his shirt.
"Kaydan, you need to sit up if you want me to take your shirt off."
"Christian," he whispers directly against my ear.
I stumble with one of the buttons. "I'm serious."
He bites the top of my ear.
I stop completely. I can't even pretend at this point. That does something to me.
Fuck this alcohol.
"Come on," I finally break him free from his shirt and take him up to my room, placing him on my bed.
He reaches up and wraps his arms around my neck. "You aren't going to leave me here alone are you?"
I was mad because he was right, and my brain wasn't helping me come up with excuses to leave. I throw my leg over his side so that I'm straddling him. The bed sinks lower, and his face is brought closer to mine. It only becomes harder to look away from him.
He brings me closer to him and bites my earlobe.
My body jolts and I fall onto my arm beside him, barely supporting my weight. "S-Stop," I groan.
"Make me," he giggles, pressing his body against mine.
I turn towards him and suck on his neck, drawing a moan out of him. He squirms against my body, hugging me tighter. I can feel him responding to my touch. I move my hands to his hips and claw my nails up his thighs.
"F-Fuck," he mummers, vibrating underneath me. "W-Wait," he attempts pushing me away.
"You really should've thought about that before tempting me," I grab his chin and meet my lips with his. I caress his tongue with my own and suck the air out of his lungs. It takes him longer than I thought to notice, so I pull away first breaking the kiss.
He sucks in a deep breath as he clings to the back of my shirt. "Wh-What was that?" He barely manages.
"A vacuum kiss," I smirk kissing his cheek and moving lower.
He sucks in another breath as I reach his jaw line. "A-Again," he attempts to look at me.
"Pardon?" I pull back and look down at him.
"Do it again," he demands before smashing our lips together.
I smirk widely as he parts his lips, graciously welcoming me. I what he asks and he breaks the kiss this time letting his head fall back to the pillow beneath him.
"You must've wanted this pretty badly since you left your parents in your room for it," I kiss his collar bone.
He laughs. "What?"
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure they'll leave when they get tired," I finish kissing above his nipple.
I hover over it when he sits straight up. "My parents are alone in my apartment?" He almost shouts.
"Yeah, but-"
He jumps up and runs to my dresser, pulling out a shirt and shorts before throwing them on his body. "We have to go, now!" He runs down the stairs and to my front door. "Oh my God, what was I thinking?"
I push myself off of my bed and follow him down. He reaches for the doorknob and I rest my hand against the door to stop him from opening it. "They aren't going to do anything in there," I reassure him.
"Great, cause we aren't going to do anything in here," he finishes facing me.
I stare at him intently and notice that his blush is spreading to his ears.
So he didn't completely sober up?
"A-At least until they lea-"
I push him to the side and open the door. "The sooner the better, right?"
He smiles shyly at me and nods once, leaving first.
I grab his left butt cheek, and he jumps turning to face me. "Cut it out!"
"Sorry, I couldn't resist." I close the door behind us.
"Behave!" He scolds.
"Or what? You'll punish me next time?"
He opens his mouth to respond but his door opens. "Look who decided to come back," his dad greets us with an agitated look. "We have a lot to talk about."
I see Kaydan give him an awkward smile.
I guess they aren't leaving anytime soon.
