Chapter 1

It was a fine morning. The sun shone brightly, gently waking the city from its slumber, while birds chirped their love songs to nature. Yet, within the cozy confines of a bedroom, the most beautiful heart remained nestled in bed, unwilling to rise. A warm hand brushed against hers, and she instinctively clutched it to her embrace, sinking deeper into sleep.

A soft, loving voice caressed her ears. "Love, wake up."

Her lips curled into a small smile as she recognized the voice of the one who owned her heart, her husband. The precious man she cherished was watching her, admiring the serene beauty of his morning muse.

She lay in his embrace, listening to the most perfect rhythm she had ever known and that is his heartbeat. His gentle fingers caressed her baby bump, now visibly grown, a silent reminder of their love. As she stirred awake, he pulled her into a warm hug, enclosing her in a world where only love existed. His lips rained soft kisses upon her face, making her feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Overwhelmed by his affection, she reciprocated, peppering his face with kisses of her own. They were lost in each other, their breaths mingling, lips just grazing just then a sudden, loud bang on the door shattered the moment.

She woke up with a start, her dream dissolving into harsh reality. Disoriented, she slowly got down from the bed, one hand protectively cradling her bump. As her eyes adjusted, she saw him, the love of her life standing at the doorway. But something was terribly wrong. His eyes,  burned with rage, bloodshot and piercing.

Before she could fully comprehend the situation, Vikram stormed into the room, his fury palpable. Without a word, he seized her elbow in a tight grip. A sharp pain shot through her arm, making her hiss in discomfort.

"Vikram, please let me go. You're hurting me," Sahana pleaded, her voice quivering. "Please."

His grip only tightened. "You think I'm here to entertain you?" he sneered. "I know exactly what I'm doing, and that is to make you suffer. How dare you sleep so peacefully when I can't?"

Tears welled in her eyes. "Vikram, please believe me. I haven't done anything. I swear."

A bitter laugh escaped his lips. "Do I look like a fool to believe your words?" His voice was laced with venom. "I don't give a damn about you. All I want is for you to sign the divorce papers. You got that?"

Her heart clenched at his words. "Vikram, just think about our child. Please try to understand. I never betrayed you."

His face contorted in disgust. "Don't ever call me with that filthy mouth of yours. I feel sick just looking at you." His voice rose with unrestrained fury. "Don't you dare mess with me, Sahana. Sign the damn papers. Now!"

She took a deep breath, summoning the last remnants of her strength. "No. I'm not going to do it. That's final."

Her defiance struck his ego like a dagger. Rage overtook him, blinding him to everything else. Without a second thought, he shoved her aside and stormed out of the room.

Sahana stumbled backward, her balance slipping. Her head collided with the edge of the table, and an agonizing pain seared through her skull. A gasp of pain escaped her lips, but it was nothing compared to what came next. A sharp, excruciating ache tore through her abdomen. A sheer pain unlike anything she had ever felt before.

A strangled cry left her lips as she clutched her stomach, fear gripping her heart. Her body trembled, her vision blurred. She reached out for support, but the world around her was spinning out of control. Darkness crept in at the edges of her consciousness. The last thing she felt was the unbearable pain before everything faded into silence.

She collapsed, unconscious, as the room swallowed her despair.
