Recap: Vikram tries to kill priyanka.
------------------------------------------------------------
Vikram threw the hospital reports at Priyanka, who trembled in fear for her life.
"Take your bloody report on the abortions you have done," he spat, his voice laced with fury. "Because of you, I failed to recognize my love. I cursed my own child as not mine. How must Sana have felt every time I abused her? Every time I strangled her, accusing her of betrayal? I gave her hell because of you."
Sana rushed home and was shocked to see Vikram's rage. Hurriedly, she ran to him, grasping his hand, trying to pull him away from Priyanka.
"Vikram! What are you doing? Please leave her!" Sana tried to pull him away but Vikram wouldn't budge.
"No, Sana!" he roared. "She has to die for all she has done."
"Vikram, I beg you. Please leave her."
"No, Sana. Today, nobody is going to stop me."
Sana, in desperation, slapped Vikram and forcefully pulled him away.
"Have you gone mad? What will you gain by killing her?" Sana asked trying to calm him down.
Vikram's eyes burned with rage. "She has to die. It's all because of her that I tortured you and kept you away from me. Because of her, I couldn't recognize my true love. Because of her, I hated my own child. Everything was because of her! Now it's time to set things right."
By this time, Priyanka had scrambled to her feet and bolted out of the house. Vikram made a move to chase after her but stopped when he heard Sana's voice. He turned back, his breathing ragged, and met Sana's gaze. For the first time, he saw her with different emotions, one that made his guilt consume him from within. Unable to hold her gaze, he fell to his knees before her and broke into tears.
"I'm sorry, Sana. I'm so sorry. I don't even deserve a punishment from you for all I've done."
Sana knelt beside him, her voice gentle. "Vikram, please don't cry. I can't see you like this."
"I gave you hell, Sana. Yet, why do you feel pity for me? I spoke nothing but ill about you. I cursed our own child. How could I ever face you? What can I do for all my sins?"
"Vikram, please get up." Sana reached for his face, but he flinched away.
"No, Sana. Please, don't. I don't even deserve to be touched by you. I am just a sin. Please don't touch this sin. You are so pure, and I don't deserve to live in your world."
"Vikram..." Sana's voice wavered. "Vikram, I love you."
His head shot up, eyes filled with disbelief. "You still love me? After everything I did to you?"
She nodded, her eyes brimming with tears. "Vikram, I love you so much. And I also know that you love me."
Vikram looked puzzled. "How? How can you be so sure?"
Sana placed her hand on his chest. "Your love is purer than mine. You loved me from your heart, and that love had no physical bounds. That love belonged to me."
Vikram sobbed uncontrollably. "Yes, Sana. I loved you. Every time I felt your love, I failed to recognize you. Even after marrying you, I felt the same presence I did at the temple and the orphanage, but due to my foolishness, I pushed you away. I loved you deeply, but I was blind to it. I don't deserve your forgiveness."
"I know everything, Vikram," Sana whispered. "I know you only ever loved me. Trust me, I know."
"But how? How do you know?" Vikram asked shocked.
Sana smiled through her tears. "Our first night together... that night you don't remember. That's when I realized how much you love me."
Vikram shook his head. "I don't understand. I swear, Sana, I still don't remember what happened that night."
"That night, you told me how much you love me, how you felt my presence even when you didn't know it was me. You confessed that you couldn't feel that same love when Priya was around. That's when I knew how strong my place was in your heart. Do you know what you asked me that night?"
Vikram remained silent, shaking his head, tears still falling.
"You asked me to stay with you forever. You asked me to promise that I would never leave you."
Tears streamed down his face. She reached up and wiped them away.
"Don't you want to know my answer from that night?"
Vikram whispered, "You would have promised never to leave me."
Tears rolled down Sana's cheeks. Vikram raised his hands to wipe them away but stopped himself, hesitating.
"I don't deserve to even stand near you, but still... will you forgive me one last time? I promise to stay by you until my last breath."
Sana placed her hands on his mouth, stopping him. She sobbed softly.
"Vikram, I can never hate you. You are my everything."
He hesitated. "I know I don't deserve this... still, can I touch you?"
Sana took his hands and placed them on her cheeks. Vikram wiped her tears with his thumb and rested his forehead against hers.
"You shouldn't cry anymore. I won't let you cry for anything. I swear."
He placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, and it swept away all her worries. Their bond felt stronger than ever.
Sana smiled through her tears. "Vikram, bend a little. You're too tall, and I can't reach to kiss your forehead."
They chuckled together and Vikram bent down for her. She kissed his forehead, sealing their love. He moved to hug her, but her belly stopped him. His expression shifted, and he knelt before her, placing his hands on her stomach.
"I wasn't there when you needed me the most. I failed as a husband, as a father. How will our child forgive me?"
Placing his palms on her belly, he whispered, "Baby, I'm sorry. I know I hurt you and Mommy. I wasn't a good dad, but I promise to take care of you and Mommy like no one else can. I love you so much... Will you forgive your daddy?"
A sudden kick made him gasp. He couldn't contain his excitement. Overwhelmed, he hugged her stomach and kissed it gently.
She caressed his hair. Vikram stood and side-hugged her, pressing a kiss to her head.
"I'll make up for everything, Sana. I will take care of you. Now, you've been standing too long. Sit down. I'm sorry."
Vikram's guilt still weighed on him, and he sobbed in her arms. She wiped his tears.
"Vikram, please don't cry. It hurts more when I see you crying."
"Sorry, Sana. I won't cry. But my conscience is killing me."
"I'm always with you. Do you want to spend the rest of our lives crying?"
He shook his head. "No. Have you eaten?"
"No. I'm very hungry."
"I'll make you food. I don't even know what you like."
Sana smiled. "We have a lifetime to learn about each other."
"Tell me what you want. I'll cook for my wife. You'll call me a chef once you taste my food."
"Really? Then I want mushroom pasta and blueberry pie."
He kissed her forehead and left for the kitchen, determined to start their new chapter together.
