Chapter 2

Recap: Vikram pushed Sahana and she hit her head and fell unconscious.

Introducing New character : Rakshat Sahana's best friend since childhood.

Sahana lay unconscious, her head bleeding. If the god of mercy truly existed, then surely, even the god of devils would surrender to the purity of her soul.

Rakshat, her best friend, the one who had stood by her through every storm was miles away, caught in a crucial project deal. He had never wanted to leave her, especially in her fragile state, but Sahana had insisted. "This project will take your company to the top, Rakshat. You have to go!" she had urged. With great reluctance, he had agreed, making her promise that she would take care of herself until he returned.

Even from afar, he never failed to check in on her. He knew all too well the kind of monster Vikram could be. He feared for her safety every single day. Unable to take chances, he had taken Sahana away from Vikram's mansion, hiding her where no one could find her. Or so he thought.

But Vikram, the devil himself, had his ways. His men had tracked her down.

Rakshat's flight had just landed. A strange unease gripped his heart. As soon as he switched on his phone, he dialed Sahana. The call went unanswered. He tried again. And again. Panic surged through him with each ring that met silence.

"No, no, no... Something's wrong," he muttered under his breath. Without wasting another second, he sped toward her place.

The sight that met his eyes when he arrived shattered him. Sahana lay lifeless on the floor, blood pooling beneath her head.

"Sahana!" he gasped, rushing to her side. His hands trembled as he scooped her up and carried her to his car, his heart hammering with fear.

The hospital corridors felt endless. The wait outside the ICU was unbearable. Three long hours passed, each second stretching like an eternity. His hands clenched into fists, his mind replaying only one thought, Vikram. His fury burned like wildfire. He wanted to kill him. But every time such thoughts consumed him, he would hear Sahana's voice in his head, her love for Vikram stopping him in his tracks.

How could she still love that man after all the pain he had put her through? Rakshat could never understand it. She was too pure, too forgiving, almost as if she didn't belong to this cruel world.

His thoughts were shattered when the ICU doors opened. He sprang to his feet and rushed to the doctor.

"Doctor, how is she?" his voice was hoarse with desperation.

The doctor gave him a reassuring nod. "She's out of danger. She lost a lot of blood, and had she not been treated in time, the baby could have suffered complications. But she's stable now. We'll keep her under observation for 24 hours. Once she regains consciousness, she will be moved to a ward, and you can see her."

Rakshat exhaled in relief. "Thank you, doctor. Thank you so much."

The doctor hesitated before adding, "This isn't the first time she's been hurt, is it?" His sharp eyes studied Rakshat. "She could go into labor anytime now. If this continues, you risk losing both mother and child. Make sure this never happens again."

Rakshat swallowed hard and nodded. "I promise."

Later, when Sahana was shifted to a private ward, he sat beside her, his fingers gently lacing with hers. A single tear slipped down her cheek, and he reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

"Sleep, Sahana. Just rest now," he whispered, not wanting to burden her with questions.

As exhaustion claimed her, she drifted into slumber, her body and soul drained beyond measure.

But little did she know—the storm was far from over.

Rakshat pulled out his phone and made a call. "We need to move her to a safer place. Before Vikram finds her again."

Will Rakshat take Sahana away from Vikram to save her??

Will Vikram reach to Sahana before she leaves him???
