Recap: Vikram took Sana to a nearby resort to surprise her
**************************
Vikram gently guided Sana forward, his hands firm yet tender on her shoulders.
"Don't remove the blindfold yet," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.
Sana, her heart pounding with anticipation, allowed herself to be led. There was something different about the air around her,a subtle fragrance of roses and vanilla, mingling with the soft flicker of candlelight. The moment the clock struck midnight, Vikram's hands reached up and untied the blindfold, letting it slip away gently.
Sana hesitantly opened her eyes, only to find herself utterly spellbound. The entire room was bathed in the golden glow of flickering candles, their flames dancing like little fireflies. Strings of fairy lights adorned the walls, illuminating a beautifully arranged display that read, "Happy First Anniversary." The scent of fresh flowers enveloped her, and she gasped as she took in the breathtaking sight, a king-size bed covered entirely in delicate rose petals, with the floor beneath layered with even more roses. Each step she took was cushioned by the softness of the petals, making her feel as though she were walking on a dream.
From behind, Vikram wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close. His voice was a husky murmur against her skin.
"Happy anniversary, Pondatti," he whispered.
Sana turned in his embrace, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears of happiness. Without a moment's hesitation, she threw her arms around his neck, holding him tightly. She leaned in, pressing a kiss to his earlobe, her own voice dropping to a sensual whisper.
"Happy anniversary, Purusha."
Vikram pulled back slightly, cupping her face in his hands. "Do you like it?"
Sana smiled, her eyes twinkling. "I love it."
He smirked. "What exactly do you love?"
She pretended to think for a moment before answering, "The surprise... and the man who gave me this surprise."
Vikram chuckled, his grip on her tightening. "Thank you, wifeyyy."
She raised an eyebrow. "Why though?"
He let out a soft sigh. "For coming into my life. For making it brighter, more colorful, more meaningful. I never imagined that life could be this beautiful, and I owe it all to you. I'm the happiest man in the world because of you."
Sana felt her heart swell with emotion. "Then I should thank you too."
Vikram tilted his head. "What did I do?"
She smiled, reaching up to trace his jawline with her fingers. "What haven't you done? You love me more than I love myself, you care for me more than anyone else ever has."
Vikram leaned in, brushing his lips lightly against her forehead. "I love you, Sana."
She closed her eyes at the warmth of his touch. "Love you too, Vikky."
He pulled away with a teasing smirk. "Don't you want your gift?"
Sana's eyes widened with curiosity. "What is it?"
Vikram handed her a neatly wrapped gift box, his voice dropping into a husky murmur. "This is a very special gift for you, wifey."
Excited, she quickly unwrapped it. As she pulled out the contents, confusion flickered across her face.
"A white shirt?" she asked, examining the fabric. Her fingers brushed over a faint red stain. "And what's this? A stain?"
Vikram's eyes softened with nostalgia. "Do you remember the first time you bumped into me at the temple? I was wearing this shirt. This red stain... it's from the vermilion that fell from your forehead that day."
