Recap: Vikram and Sana had a memorable anniversary
*********************
It was a calm morning, sunlight filtering through the resort curtains as Vikram and Pugazh sat leisurely, sipping their steaming cups of coffee. The peaceful moment was interrupted by the sound of laughter and footsteps. Sana entered the lounge area, holding her little daughter Sara in her arms.
Vikram's eyes immediately found her. With a teasing smile, he threw her a wink. The effect was instant, Sana's heart fluttered, and she looked away, biting her lip in an attempt to hide the blush creeping up her cheeks.
Trying to distract herself, Sana looked around.
"Brother, where's my sister-in-law?" she asked with a playful tone.
Pugazh chuckled. "Where else would she be, other than sitting in front of the mirror with all her makeup?"
Just then, a voice came from beside him. "Oh really? But I'm right next to you, dear husband."
Startled, Pugazh turned to see Pranitha giving him a mock glare. "Pranitha baby, you look beautiful," he tried to cover up smoothly.
She crossed her arms. "Don't try to change the topic now, Mr. Pugazh."
From the kitchen area, Amudha walked in, shaking her head at the lively banter. "You all can't stay calm for even a few minutes, can you?"
Pugazh grinned. "It's just some harmless fun, mom."
"But aren't you all supposed to head out today?" Amudha asked, glancing at Vikram.
Vikram nodded, checking his watch. "Yeah, Ricky will be here any minute. Then we'll head out."
Sana rocked Sara gently in her arms. "I'm not coming," she said suddenly. "You all go ahead. I'll stay back."
Vikram looked up. "Why, Sana? What happened?"
"We've already been away from Sara for the past two days. I don't want to leave her again today. I just want to be with my little girl."
Pranitha tilted her head. "Are you sure, Sana?"
"Yes, sister-in-law," Sana replied with a warm smile.
Pugazh put down his coffee. "Then let's cancel the plan."
"Oh my God, no!" Sana exclaimed. "Don't do that. You all should go ahead and have fun."
But Vikram was firm. "No, Sana. If you're staying, we're not leaving you alone."
She chuckled. "In that case, at least let bro and sister-in-law enjoy some private time."
Vikram widened his eyes dramatically. "Ooooooh, that's a good idea."
Pugazh grinned. "My dear sister!"
"Bro, have fun," Sana added, laughing.
Just then, Ricky entered the resort with a professional smile.
"Good morning, sir," he greeted.
"Hey, Ricky. Morning!" Vikram responded. "Today, you'll just be accompanying my brother and friend. My wife and I are staying back."
"Understood, sir. I'll take them to Hamilton Island — it's perfect for couples."
"Sounds good," Vikram nodded. "Take care of them."
"Of course."
Pugazh and Pranitha soon left with Ricky. Back in the room, Sana gently placed Sara on the bed and Vikram followed her inside.
