Y/N's P.O.V.

Adjusting to life as an Avenger was one of the greatest challenges I had ever faced.
No one trusted me and for good reason. Well, no one except Tony Stark, who seemed to have more faith in me than I did.
I didn't stay at the tower with the others either. Delilah and I moved into a huge apartment closer to the tower, all paid for by Stark. He also paid for the babysitter/bodyguard to watch her whilst we were away. Not to mention how he helped me keep Delilah a secret from the others. He understood that the more people who knew about her meant the more danger she was in and I couldn't thank him enough for what he had done.

"What's up?" I asked, answering my phone. It was my 'day off' and I was more than confused to see that the playboy billionaire was calling.
"We need you back here, there's been an incident."

"What kind of incident?" I asked, looking at Delilah, who was sound asleep on the couch.

"The bad kind." Stark sighed heavily and I frowned.
"The usual guy was unavailable on short notice, but I've sent a replacement."

"This replacement-"

"Don't worry about it. I trust him with my life." Stark reassured.
"He should be there any minute." There was a knock on the door and I pulled myself up off of the couch.

"He's here." I opened the door, seeing the familiar face of Happy Hogan. I had met him once or twice in the tower, but I had never actually spoken to the guy.
"She's on the couch." I muttered, assuming he had been giving the basic details of why he was there. Happy nodded and I grabbed my jacket, before closing the door behind me.
"You want to tell me what I'm walking into here, Stark?"

"One of your old work buddies came to visit." I hung up the phone, a familiar feeling settling in my chest. Rage.
My walk to the tower was a short one and I very quickly made my way up to the main floor, where everyone was waiting.

"You..." Clint looked at me with a familiar anger, before I was roughly pushed back into a wall. I pushed him off of me, only to earn a punch to the jaw. Before I could recover from the punch, he hit me again.

"Hit me again and it will be the last thing you do." I warned as I whipped out the gun from my jacket pocket. I pressed it to his forehead, before he was pulled off of me suddenly.

"Cool it. Both of you." Stark glared at us both.
"I told you, this isn't her fault." Stark defended.

"Thanks for stepping in." I glared at the rest of the team, before following Stark into the elevator.
"What the hell is his problem?" I muttered as I wiped blood from my lip.

"Romanoff got hurt." Stark spoke quietly and I froze. I liked Nat. She actually made an effort to talk to me, considering we both unwillingly worked for organisations that made us kill for them.
"The security footage was like something out of a high-end action movie, Nat was winning until she wasn't. She's in critical care."

"Who is it?" I asked darkly and Stark looked at me for a moment, before replying.

"Wouldn't give us a name. Just kept saying that he wasn't speaking until you got here." He muttered.
"But he did say you orchestrated this."

"He what?"

"Why do you think Katniss tried to kill you back there?" Tony shook his head as the elevator stopped.
"He said you planned all of this from the beginning."

"Of course I didn't! How could I of?" I scoffed and Stark stayed silent.
"But you know I didn't. Why don't you believe him but everyone else does?"

"Because I've seen you with your kid. You're spending more time with her, you're being the person she always believed you were." Tony looked at me.
"I don't think you did this because you're happy. Why would you ruin that?"

"Thank you." I looked at him and he nodded.
I could hear faint singing as we approached the cell and I got goosebumps hearing the familiar voice. The problem was, I couldn't put a name or face to who it belonged to. The singing stopped as we turned the corner and faced the cell. My stomach dropped at the sight.

"Hey, girlie. It's been a while."

"L/N?" Stark asked and I stepped back away from the cell as realisation hit me like a truck.
"Y/N, what is it?"

"That's Manen. He's the guy they send in when they need a distraction." I muttered.
"To pull their enemies away from their posts whilst someone else gets the target."

"Delilah..." Stark muttered, causing Manen to cackle. I moved towards the elevator and Stark followed.
"We'll get the team-"

"We are not doing anything." I glared at him.
"I'm going after my daughter. You're staying here."

"Sure." He scoffed.
"Because I'm going to let you walk right into what's probably a trap."

"Yes, you are." I stepped out of the elevator, seeing Clint and Steve by the exit of the building. Stark grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, but I pulled myself free, before shoving him up against the wall and snatching the knife from my back pocket.
"I'm sorry, but because of me Natasha is hurt. I'm not letting anyone else get hurt." I whispered and watched his eyes soften. I could hear the pair behind me getting closer and I took a breath.
"Stay away from me, Stark, or I'm going to have you taken out, just like I had Miss Romanoff taken care of." I spoke loud enough for all three of them to hear.
