Sidebloggable Prompt: "Clothes-Swapped"

Tumblr Prompt: https://otpprompts.tumblr.com/post/150200305754/person-a-and-person-b-have-plans-to-hang-out-on/amp

"Person A and Person B have plans to hang out. On A's walk to B's house, it starts sprinkling, then pouring down rain. When they get there, their clothes are soaked through and the weather is so bad that they have no option but to stay at Person B's house. Since their clothes are soaked through, A has to wear B's clothes."

After checking his phone for the time, Nikei saw Mikado finally coming out from the grocery store. "Jeez, about time," the journalist complained. "What the hell were you doing in there that took so long, a juggling act?"

"Have you never gone on a shopping trip in your life, Mr. Yomiuri?" the wizard sighed, carrying a bunch of bags on his hands. "I just wanted to stock up on food at my house before you and I went over the next intel-collecting plan to find Master Utsuro..."

Nikei scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Isn't Utsuro more important than some groceries? We're all fucked if we can't find him, you know?"

"We'd be more fucked if the one coming up with the plan starves to death first," Mikado immediately replied. "I already gave you the directions to my house, so I'll most likely be done putting my groceries away by the time you arrive."

"Wait, what do you-"

Before Nikei could finish speaking, Mikado teleported back to his house with his groceries - and without Nikei. When the journalist realized that he had to walk to the wizard's house himself, he let out a fit of cursing.

"Stupid fucking wizard, making me walk when he just teleported, that fucking asshole..." Nikei kept grumbling as he began his walk to Mikado's house. It was about ten minutes at from the store, and he was not looking forward to going there.

As he was planning his choice words to yell at the blonde, he suddenly felt something hit his shoulder. He turned his head and saw a wet stain on his coat, and he groaned as he immediately hid his notepad into a pocket on his coat. On top of everything that was happening today, it was beginning to rain too.

As Nikei continued the trek to Mikado's house, the rain came down more steadily and heavily. His coat was soaked through, his notepad became damp, and his hair became stuck to his forehead. By the time he finally arrived at the front doorstep and rang the doorbell, the journalist was completely drenched and pissed off.

Mikado opened the door and was surprised by Nikei's appearance, letting him inside quickly. "Oh my, I didn't think the rain would be that bad today! You're certainly not going out in that again," the wizard remarked. "I already put my groceries away, but I'd better get you a towel too."

As Mikado left to find a clean towel, Nikei took out his notepad and grimaced as he realized that it got wet too. "Oh god, my info! The pages must be stuck together now..." he bemoaned, rapidly losing hope for it being fixed.

Mikado returned quickly with a towel in one arm and a bundle of clothes in the other. "Dry yourself off with this towel, then change into these," he told Nikei, putting the towel and clothes into the journalist's arms. "They might be a bit big, but it's better than catching hypothermia."

Nikei put the pieces together quickly. "These are YOUR clothes?! Why the fuck would I wear those?!" he shouted. "I'd rather stay in my own clothing, asshole!"

"And risk getting sick? Really, you have no self-preservation at all," the wizard sighed, knowing how stubborn the man in front of him could be. But in his opinion, it was fun to give the journalist an offer he couldn't refuse and watch the stubborn drain away. "Tell you what: I'll fix that problem with your notepad if you change your clothes. Does that sound agreeable?"

Nikei gritted his teeth as he considered his options. He really didn't want to be dressed in someone else's clothes - especially Mikado's, of all people - but he was going to lose a lot of information in that notepad if he did nothing, so he didn't have a choice...

"Fine. Where's your bathroom?" Nikei sighed, and Mikado pointed to a room down the hall. The journalist was such an amusing toy to play with, but he had to remember to give time to cool down in order to see his best reactions. Letting the journalist retain some dignity by giving him privacy to change clothes was a good start.

While Nikei was busy changing, Mikado took the damp notepad, carefully slipped pieces of paper between the pages, put a heavy book on top of it to compress it, then pointed two hairdryers at it. Following his part of the deal but not using magic to dry the notepad immediately would keep Nikei at his house longer, he knew from experience.

When Nikei finally left the bathroom, dressed in Mikado's clothes, he looked grumpy as he blushed from embarrassment. "Aww, Mr. Yomiuri! You really look adorable like that!" Mikado teased, which riled up the journalist as predicted. "Perhaps making you wear my clothes should be a requirement?"

"No way, like hell I'd wear your clothes regularly! Shut the hell up!" he shouted back, looking like he was getting closer to throwing a fit if more things kept happening to him today.

Mikado chuckled and decided to leave him be for now. "Well, I digress. Come on, let's look over the plans and see what needs improvement. They're on the kitchen table," he directed, walking over to the table in question with the irritated journalist in tow.

The worksheet and blueprints were out on the table, and both men settled down and began looking over the papers while Mikado gave his explanations and his new plan to Nikei, with the other man listening intently. The explanation in itself lasted a few minutes, but with Nikei's added information and the revisions being made, the whole planning stage took about fifteen minutes in total.

"So, is that a reasonable conclusion?" Mikado finally proposed. "We need to break into this building, and we all go to separate areas on floors to make sure we get everything in a short amount of time. Of course, we leave Ms. Nijiue in the truck to prevent accidents. Once we get the required documents and CCTV footage from this location, we get back to the truck and escape."

"Yeah, that sounds good. I'll go over the plan with Hajime and Emma later, and... Why are you looking at me like that?" the journalist suddenly demanded.

Mikado was looking him over with a sly smile on his mask. "Well, even with the towel and new clothes, I couldn't help but notice how much you're shivering. Perhaps I need to find a way to warm you up?" The wizard wrapped his arms around the journalist and began dragging him to the kitchen, even when Nikei started kicking, dragging his feet, and doing everything he could to not be moved.

When Nikei was finally forced into the kitchen, Mikado teleported some cooking ingredients to the kitchen countertop with his magic. "What are those...baking supplies?" the journalist questioned.

"Correct! Baking helps to stimulate your torso with movement and warm you up that way, and the heat from the oven will also spread through the house. This warmth will help your body and your notepad," Mikado explained. "Unless, instead of baking with me, you'd rather have me drag you to the couch instead-"

"Let's begin baking, what are we making?" Nikei interrupted, to the blonde man's amusement. Even when he was very uncooperative and temperamental, his reactions were still very adorable in the wizard's eyes.
