*** Fuli's POV ***

It's the first day that Kion's back in the Lion Guard since he left. Even though I was glad he's back on the team, I'm still worried that Kion isn't ready yet to do full patrols. I sure hope Simba won't let him do too much.

After meeting up with the Guard in the lair, we all started walking on our morning patrol path. Everything went well, at first. But then, Ono spotted something. He flew higher in the air to have a closer look.

"Hapana! Mzingo and his vultures are heading to Nyani Grove!" the egret said.

"They're going after the baboons?" Kion asked.

"Lion Guard, after them!" Simba commanded.

We all started to run towards the vultures.

"Ono, do you see any hyenas in the Pride Lands?" the king asked.

"Not yet!"

The vultures have now invaded Nyani Grove. There were at least six of them! Even though we were still a good distance away, we could already see how much chaos there was. If we don't act fast, then we'll lose another Pride Lander!

As we arrived, all the baboons were in panic. They were running around their home and others were hiding in the trees, trying to stay away from the attackers.

"Everyone, regroup the baboons! Once we've rounded them up, we can take care of the vultures!" Simba ordered.

"You got it, dad!" Kion replied.

I immediately looked for the baboons who are the furthest from their home and ran straight towards them. "Huwezi!"

One vulture was after three baboons. When he was low enough, I hit him with my paw, making the vulture collapse on the ground. "Everyone, get on my back!" I said.

The baboons obeyed and climbed onto my back. They were screaming from fear. I need to get them safe, fast.

"Where do you think you're going?" the vulture asked. He flew right at me, so I ran as fast as I could to the center of Nyani Grove. I escaped with the baboons.

The other Guard members had more trouble getting the baboons together. Not every baboon listened to them, which made the job a whole lot more difficult. I let the baboons behind in the center of their home so they're close to the Lion Guard, and then I helped wherever I could.

"Your majesty, we have another problem!" Ono said.

"What is it, Ono?" Simba asked while he hit another vulture away from a baboon.

"The hyenas are after the zebras!"

"Oh no..."

We knew we could barely handle the vultures with the six of us, and now we have no choice but to divide.

"Besthe, Ono, Bunga, take care of the vultures. Fuli, Kion, you're with me." Simba ordered.

"No, dad, you're needed here!" Kion said, who was busy dodging the attacks from multiple vultures. "You have to stay here. I know how to deal with Janja."

Kion was right. Simba may not have the Roar, but he's a good leader who knows how to scare the Outlanders away. Without him, Nyani Grove could really lose a baboon.

I saw Simba still hesitating. "I'll make sure nothing happens to your son." I said.

The king finally gave in, probably also because there was little time left. "Alright, but be careful! Kion, Fuli, Besthe, after the hyenas. The rest says here!"

"Affirmative!"

With that, Besthe, Kion and I were heading to the hyenas, while the rest took care of the vultures.
