[2]-This is not what I meant when I told you to fall for me
______

Hiking trough the nature of New Zealand was not how I imagined my summer holidays but here I am, accompanied by my boyfriend, exploring the surroundings where he is from. Marcus took me to New Zealand to meet his family and today we are on a hike to spend some time as a couple too.

"I love it here." I admit to Marcus, smiling broadly. In the beginning I wasn't sure of going on a hike, but it was indeed beautiful just like Marcus had promised me before. We are surrounded by different plants and colours while trees protect us from the warm sun which would probably burn our skin otherwise.

"I am glad that you enjoy it." Marcus smiles before he takes my hand in his, crossing our fingers while we continue our path trough New Zealand's nature. We don't talk much during out hike but it is not needed anyways because we observe everything we walk by and listen to the sounds of the surroundings from time to time.

"My family really likes you." He tells me after some more minutes, making my heart flutter happily. I am so glad that they really like me and not just act like they do. It is, at least a bit, important that the boyfriend's family is approving the relationship.

"To be honest I was a bit nervous they wouldn't, but they are so nice people." I admit and look up to Marcus who smiles softly at me, knowing exactly how I feel because he has met my family too and was acting overly nervous before it.

"And now they finally believe that a girl has fallen for me." Marcus giggles, making me laugh too. It is true his family didn't believe him in first place that he really has a girlfriend but now they know that I am not imagined but a real person in Marcus' life.

We keep walking the path but slowly it gets a bit more difficult to walk on it. Roots and some plants are crossing the way and you have to look where you place your foot before you injure yourself. But of course, it has to happen and before I can even react, I trip over a root and fall to the ground.

"This is not what I meant when I told you to fall for me." Marcus jokes with joy in his voice and normally I would have laughed but there is a pounding feeling in one of my ankles and my hands burn slightly, probably cut open from stopping the fall.

"Are you okay love?" He asks, now realising that I might hurt myself while falling to the ground. Marcus comes down to my level, kneeling into the dirt and looks at me with concern in his eyes. In the meantime, I turned around, so that I sit and no longer lay on the ground.

"I am not sure. My ankle really hurts." I mumble and rub over my ankle, trying to soothe the pounding pain in it but it helps only temporary. Marcus rolls up my trousers a bit to reveal my ankle but there is nothing to see yet and I hope it doesn't turn blue or gets swollen.

"Come, I help you up." Marcus offers me and helps me up on my feet again. I don't put weight on my hurting ankle at first and then slowly add some to it, testing if it is hurting too much or if it is okay to continue with the walking.

"Can you walk?" Marcus asks me, still holding me a bit to steady me. Carefully I try to make a step put now pain shoots up my ankle and trough my leg, making me mewl in pain.

"Probably better if I don't." I mumble and let my head hang down a bit, this was not how we imagined our day out in the nature. Marcus sights softly before he takes our shared backpack of his back.

"Take the backpack I carry you." He gives me the backpack and I take it on before I jump onto Marcus back with his help. My legs wrap around his hips and Marcus holds them to steady me a bit more.

When he is sure that I will not fall to the ground he starts walking to the car so that we can make our way back home and put some ice on my ankle. I place my head on his shoulder, enjoying how close we are but still not happy because the reason for this is not a good one.

"At least you can't run away from me anymore." Marcus jokes making me laugh in happiness. Well, he is right but there is one important fact which proves that this is not the reason why I stay with my Kiwi.

"As if I ever wanted to."
