[67]-I never actually uhm...dated anyone before
_____

First dates are always exciting, but a first date with someone you already like is almost making my heart stop. Letting it beat way too fast, before it stumbles and doesn't have the strength to continue with it.

When Yuki asked me for a date, I thought I was dreaming, but it was all real. Just as real as the boy who is waiting in front of a restaurant for me right now. I take a last deep breath, before I approach him.

"Yuki, it is great to see you." I greet him and his head shoots up like I have just scared him. My fingers curl around the handle of my bag to keep them from playing with each other.

"Hi." His voice is not really loud when he speaks up and he fiddles nervously with his fingers, making me smile a little bit. Seems like Yuki is as least as nervous as I am.

"Want to go inside?" I ask him and point to the door of the little restaurant he has chosen for our date. It already looks cosy from the outside and when it comes to food, I completely trust Yuki. He has a good taste and probably picked something good.

"You look great." Yuki smiles when we sit down on the table, and I blush softly. I hoped he would like the pattern with the flowers I picked and luckily, he does.

"Thank you." I thank him and we start to read through the menu trying to find something that would be tasty. We both quickly make a choice and then it is quiet between us for a moment.

"I have something for you." Yuki suddenly speaks up and my heart flutters softly. "Really?" He has brought something with him for me? I am not sure how much more my heart could take before it would beat its way out of my chest.

"Yeah, I have a gift for you, and I really hope you like it." Yuki almost stutters out his words and I am curious to see what he came up with, but I would like to ease his nervousness a bit first, because he doesn't seem relaxed to me.

"You didn't have to." I smile at him and open up the box Yuki has put in front of me. Inside is a little snow globe, filled with some cherry trees, blossoming in their significant pink. This is absolutely beautiful.

"Pierre told me it would leave a good impression." Yuki says, to explain how he got the idea to bring a gift to our date and of course the reason is Pierre. He is mentoring his team partner and I make myself a note to thank Pierre for it in the future.

"He is right." I have a soft smile on my lips and thank Yuki for the gift, leaving it on the table, so I can look at it from time to time.

We talk, mostly shallow topics and still, Yuki plays with his fingers, letting his gaze wander nervously through the room and even though I am nervous too, I would love to see him relaxed. And maybe I am a little bit worried that he is not too happy about this date.

"Yuki?" I speak up and he looks at me like I ripped him out of his thoughts. "Hm?" He gives me his attention and I decide just to address the obvious.

"You seem nervous."

It is quite before a moment, then Yuki looks down on his plate and mutters some words to me. "I never actually uhm...dated anyone before."

"Oh Yuki, there is no need to be nervous because of this." I reassure him directly that this date shouldn't make him this nervous. It can make him a little bit nervous, just like me, but it seems like Yuki is nothing but nervous right now.

"It is probably not what you expected." Yuki still thinks that this is bad and that I probably don't like him being this nervous, so I decide it is time to speak up and prove him different.

"I had no expectations, and you know why?" I start explaining and Yuki shakes his head when I ask him the question. Of course, he doesn't know why there are no expectations in my head.

"I never dated anyone before you." I admit and Yuki's eyes are wide, just like he didn't expect what I just confessed to him. We are both without any dating experience, which means there is no right or wrong for us at the moment, just exploring.

"Let's find out together if we like it or not." I propose to him and immediately he looks a little more relaxed than before.

"I would love that." He smiles and I can't suppress a smile either. This is going to be an interesting time.
