Recap:

He looked into my eyes and saw a hint of fear in them, which snapped him out of it, his eyes shrinking back to their original size. I let out a sigh of relief as Sorin pulled me into his chest and whispered, "I'm sorry" into my shoulder. I smiled.

"It's alright. I shouldn't have teased you like that." I bit my lip and he pulled away rolling onto his back beside me, my hand nestled into his. I cuddled up into his side and rested my head on his chest. "Can I sleep here tonight?" I asked him.

I felt him let out a breath that I didn't know he was holding. "I'd be delighted." He pressed his comforting lips onto my forehead and my eyelids fluttered to a close. "Goodnight, my beautiful Layla Locke." My mind drifted into sleep and dreams of the future floated in my mind.

"Layla." A faint voice called out to me. It was a familiar one, but I had no idea who it was. "Today you will learn a lot. Be strong. And don't run away from your past. They need you." A bright light, shaped like a lady, told me in her harmonic voice. It reminded me of a chorus of bells chiming or a harp being delicately plucked.

"I will be strong, for you." Although I had no idea who this was, I promised her I wouldn't run from my past. She is so familiar, yet, I can't quite place my finger on it. Who is she?

"I will visit you again when you need me the most. Don't be scared darling Layla, you will be great." Before I could ask her what I would be great at her light dimmed and she vanished into thin air leaving me in the shivering darkness.

"LAYLA!!!" A voice yelled at me. "Wake up! We're going to miss breakfast!" It was Sorin. And that sentence made me jolt awake.

"Food. Where?" I asked the second I was sat up in bed with my eyes wide awake. He chuckled softly next to me, his laughter shaking the bed.

"Now I know food is what wakes your little bones out of bed." He joked. "The food is at the pack house. Lets gooooo!" He pulled me by my arm off the bed. Lazy as I am, it caused him to make me fall on the floor in a heap of legs, arms and hair.

"I'm not little!" I growled. "If the food is far then I don't want to go!" I protested. "Unless..." I lifted my head to smirk up at a cautious Sorin.

"Unless what?"

"Unless my big, strong, handsome boyfriend-slash-mate carries me to my every destination." I grinned. Sorin scowled.

"You have two feet, Layla. Use them or lose them." He argued against my proposition.

"But I'm soooo tired!" I whined with a high pitched voice causing Sorin to flinch.

"Fine." He grudgingly accepted. "But you still have to change." He announced feeling accomplished to have found something I have to do alone. That's where he went wrong.

"Not unless you dress me." I purred, smiling mischievously. "All you have to do is strip me bare then find me clean clothes." I gave him an innocent pout.

"Not unless you want another repeat of last night's almost sex episode." He pointed out and turned to walk out of the room. I groaned in frustration as I picked my heavy body off the floor and found some of Sorin's shirts that didn't look as ridiculous on me as the one I had on seconds ago.
