—Poppy is honestly a sweetheart. She has such a big heart and definitely does what she can to help her friends. She's also very close with her twin brother, Stan. She's very supportive of him and helps him have fun sometimes. Even though she hasn't told anyone about her crush on Bill, Stan knows from the way she looks at him and that she's writing the secret admirer notes.
—Poppy and Bill are very close and have known each other since they were children. They both have feelings for one another but neither will admit it. Poppy writes in calligraphy so Bill won't recognize her handwriting. Bill doesn't know who is writing the notes but he secretly does hope it's her. Poppy is also close with Eddie and later on Ben, especially once she figures out Ben wrote a poem for Beverly and they give each other advice.
—This book can or cannot have Pennywise included in here. It's totally up to you! If you decide to have Pennywise, then he uses Poppy's fear, being rejected by Bill, against her. She's afraid of getting her heartbroken, hence why she leaves the secret admirer notes anonymously and never gives him a hint.
—If you end the book at IT Chapter 1, then I definitely want Poppy and Bill to get together! I want her to finally come clean and admit it was her writing those letters, just something cute and soft. But if you continue to IT Chapter 2, then she can never admit it until they return 27 years later. Her adult fc will be Elizabeth Olsen and she'll end up being a kindergarten teacher. Stan's death is heartbreaking, but you can decide if you want to include that and break Poppy even more, or have her call or show up (since she lives in the same area as him) just before he does it because she had a "twin feeling" and unknowingly saves his life. But I do want Bill and Poppy to end up together regardless. And if you decide on the No Pennywise AU like I mentioned above, I wouldn't mind a couple chapters or an epilogue of their future together 27 years later!
