Shaurya aur Anokhi ki kahani reboot

Will truth germinate?

It was afternoon, Shaan's fever had reduced and he was much better, but still weak. He too like Devi found Shaurya's behavior towards him a little different, Shaurya had a different vulnerability in his eyes today, of course Shaurya loved him but he he knew he hated Shaan for still loving Aastha and hence stayed always a little aloof in proximity of Shaan and didn't even reciprocate his gestures like a normal son would do, there always existed that uneasiness and some kind of restrain in their bond, that exact uneasiness and restrain was missing today, but Shaan didn't know whether this was for good or bad, but it was after years that the duo were in each other's company alone for so long. Once Shaurya had ensured that Shaan had his lunch and medicines, he on insistence of Gayatri went to have his own lunch. 

Gayatri- Shaan Bhaisaab, aap theek to hain na?

Shaan- Gayatri thoda sa fever hai, I will be alright.

Gayatri- Kuch hua hain na Shaan Bhaisaab? I heard what the doctor said, this is fever due to stress. Aap kyu pareshan hai?

Shaan- Aisa kuch bhi nahi hai Gayatri.

Shaurya had his lunch and was coming back to Shaan's room to watch over him, when he heard something between Gayatri and Shaan in the room and his steps halted.

Gayatri- Kya wo Aastha bhabhi ki student ko admission nahi mila iss wazah se? Aap ki baat hui thi kya Aastha Bhabhi se? Kuch kaha bhabhi ne aapse?

Shaan- Gayatri 25 saal baad call kiya tha usne, maine toh jab phone pe uska caller id dekha toh yakeen hi nahi aaya.

Gayatri- Kuch kaha bhabhi ne aapse?

Shaan- Kuch kehti hi toh nahi hai, par uski khamoshi ka har lamha mujh pe ilzaam lagata hai. Tumhe pata hai Gayatri, umar ne saara noor cheen liya uska, uski aankhon mein bhi woh hi akelapan aur dard tha jo ........ par fir bhi kuch nahi bola.

Gayatri- Aap Aastha bhabhi se mile the? Kab? Kahan?

Shaan- Wo Anokhi jiske liye main kuch nahi kar paya, uski wajah se Aastha ne mujhe call kiya, uski wajah se itne saal baad meine Aastha ko dekha, uske liye Aastha  SIAC aayi thi.

Gayatri- Aastha Bhabhi aayi thi? Apne kuch kaha unse?

Shaan- Usko dekhne ke baad main kuch kehne layak baccha hai kahan tha. In last 25 years whatever happened in her life, even in worst of her times and crises she never asked me for anything, never complained, never said anything to me. And then even when she called after 25 years, it was not for her, it was for that girl Anokhi, an extremely bright and capable student, but I couldn't do anything for her,  Aastha hadn't asked anything for herself, still .............................. 

Gayatri- Aapko iss baat ka guilt hai ki Anokhi ka admission nahi ho paya?

Shaan- No, when I saw Aastha yesterday all my follies came crashing back to me, in fact there are few that I hadn't realised or rather not acknowledged, the impact of them till the moment I saw her yesterday, it is because of my cowardness that her own son hates her and is away from her and I am guilty of that because she did that for me, for me she walked on this difficult lonely path and you know she will continue to do that, I had left her alone and lonely and she is still alone and lonely and shall always remain so.

Gayatri- Shaan Bhaisaab sirf Aastha bhabhi akeli nahi hai, aap bhi toh akele the aur hain, aap dono ka dard ek doosre se kaam nahi hai, Bhabhi ko dekha nahi par aapko maine pichle 25 saal unke liye tadapte dekha hai.

Shaan smiled a small smile and looked Gayatri in eyes.

Shaan- Yeh tadap ab kabhi nahi jaayegi. Shayad marne ke baad bhi nahi, in fact mujhe toh dar hai ki mujhe mar kar bhi sukoon nahi hoga, upar jab kabhi insaaf hoga wahan bhi mujhe jawab dena padega ki jab uske sath galat hua toh mein kaise khamoshi se khada raha, sab kuch hone diya, sab galat bardasht karta raha aur aaj bhi kar raha hoon.
