-33- Venesis

The police wanted to monitor me in case All For One paid a visit to my new apartment. But for the past month... no one did, except Katsuki.

He came everyday for a month to check on me and make sure everything was okay. He never admitted to wanted to protect me but anyone could see that he wanted to make sure I was still okay, emotionally.

"I got it! Go away! Go sit!" He shouted at me. I was attempting to help him cook dinner but he said and I quote "you suck at cooking" soooo I stayed on the couch, watching the news. I was waiting for something interesting to happen but of course nothing did.

All my friends were out doing hero work all day and I was stuck here... I suppose it's for the best, considering I was dangerous to be around nowadays.

"Hellooooo! Come eat dumbass." Katsuki flicked my forehead, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh... sorry..." I said walking to the table. "I was thinking about... something."

"Getting the hell out of here?" He said jokingly.

"Yeah yeah. Obviously. But you know I can't." I say back to the blonde. "Mmmm this looks amazing. Thanks Katsu." I said with a chuckle.

We both eat our food quietly watching the news. I noticed his eyes would shoot in my direction every now and then and I made me anxious.

"What? Stop looking at me!" I snap at him. He clenched his eyebrows towards me, looking away quickly.

"Whatever... I wasn't staring at you idiot."

"Yes you were you dummy!"

For the rest of the evening the two of us watched movies on the couch, I made sure to keep an appropriate distance between us.

"Oh yeah. I think I finally have my hero named picked out..." I nudged the blondes shoulder.

"Oh yeah? I bet it sucks just like your hero-ing." He recoiled, making me slap him.

He chuckles and gestures for me to continue with my statement.

"Well.. I gave it a lot of thought even though it's not very creative... but it's a mixture of both of my quirks. My telekinesis and my void portals..." I said twiddling with my thumbs. He gave me a look like he wasn't following me.

"I came up with The telekinetic hero: Venesis. Get it... void plus kinesis..." I say glancing up at him.

He stares for a second and squints his eyes at me...

"...it's not terrible I guess..." he says, making me gasp.

"Oh shut up you bafoon! It took you what, like three years to pick yours too so hmph!" I said crossing my arms at him.

He laughed and slapped the back of my head. "I'm still calling you newbie though... newbie."

I growled and clenched my teeth. "I'm not even new anymore, so you just sound dumb!" I snap back at the hotheaded blonde.

He lets out a contagious laugh. It was the first time in a long time I felt genuinely happy.

After a few hours, I started to feel my eyes drop. I stretched my legs and yawned, facing the sleepy blonde. "Alright Bakubro... I'm getting tired so, see you tomorrow?" I ask genuinely.

"...not yet..." he says after a long pause.

"Huh?" I froze and eyed him. He held a cocky smirk on his lips.
