My musical performance class helped to take my mind off of the trouble I had gotten in with Kyoya, but once it was over, my miserable mood returned. I hadn't been upset with Kyoya's conditions before, or the way he spoke to me over breakfast. I was, after all, officially both under his protection and in his employ. What made everything change was his silent treatment the entire ride to school. He was being childish, I had agreed to his every command without question and he was acting like I had slapped him in front of his staff. One class after another, I dragged through the day until it was time to eat. I grabbed my lunch and found a secluded place.  Pulling out my laptop, I quickly connected my headphones and placed them over my ears so I wouldn't be disturbed. I scrolled through until I found the playlist I wanted and turned it on full blast. I got to work looking through the recipies I had entered earlier and began making notes in my journal for improvements. It wasn't long before I saw movement out of the corner of my eye, but I chose to ignore it. I assumed that it was one of the club members and continued on with my work, pretending not to have noticed them. Suddenly, my headphones were ripped off of my ears.

"Hey, don't ignore us." I heard two voices whine in unison.

"What do you two want?" I tried to keep an even tone, but my words came out sharper than I had meant them to.

"We wanted to see how you were doing." One of the boys started.

"But it looks like we just got our answer." Finished the other.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean be rude." I apologized with a sigh, turning off my music and removing my headphones. "I've been up all night working on some stuff and I'm a little tired." I wasn't going to get into the events of the morning if I didn't have to. The boys both looked at my screen.

"That's a lot of recipies." One boy stated, obviously shocked.

"I spent all night entering each of these into my database so I could make adjustments and experiment before Mr. Ootori comes back this weekend." I blurted out.

"Why would it matter?" The other boy asked confused.

"Because Mr. Ootori would never let me stay at the estate if I wasn't family or staff." I continued on, my hand moving up to thoughtlessly play with a strand of hair that had come out of place. "Since the house chef is gone, It's the only place I could fit into the staff. Kyoya doesn't have anywhere else for me to stay right now, so if Mr. Ootori turns me out, then I'll be a gonner." I finished my sentence at barely a whisper, staring intently at the screen in front of me.

"Where is Kyoya-Senpai?" The first boy asked, looking around.

"Beats me." I said with a shrug.

"What do you mean?" They simultaniously blurted out.

"He hasn't spoken to me since breakfast." I spat out, feeling rather frustrated.

"Why would he do that?" I heard Haurhi wonder from behind me. "He seemed to really enjoy being around you last night."

"I'm not really sure, you'd have to ask him." I fibbed, putting a spoonful of curry into my mouth. To my supprise, she turned and walked off, probably to find Kyoya. I returned to my work, while the twins remained on either side of me.

"Who made your lunch?" I heard one of them ask.

"I did." I answered without looking up.

"It's really good. Right Kaoru?" I heard Hikaru ask through what I assumed was a spoonfull of my curry.

"Yeah. It's way better than the curry our chef makes." Kaoru responded, his mouth also full of my lunch. "Where did you learn how to cook like this?"
