When I opened my eyes, the bright morning sun shone in through the windows. I felt an emptiness and realized that Kyoya wasn't there, but a note sat perched on the pillow beside me. I picked it up and, propping myself up, I opened it and began to read.

Oh Kitten,

You looked so peaceful this morning that I didn't dare wake you, also I was more than a little afraid that you were like me in the mornings. You do have quite the temper after all. I called Dr. Yamaku and asked him to give you a note for the day. He's already contacted the school but he'll be stopping by to make sure you're okay. I couldn't afford to take the day off after yesterday, so I will be gone at school all day. I hope you're not too lonely without me, but my sister Fuyumi is probably around somewhere and I'm sure she would love to keep you company. If you need anything, even if it's just to talk, do not hesitate to call me. I have club duties after school so I won't be home right away. Please make yourself at home while I'm gone. I can't wait to see you again.

With all my love, Kyoya.

I neatly folded the note and placed it in the drawer of the bedside table, grinning like a complete idiot. I leapt out of bed and half danced my way to the bathroom. Realizing that all of my things were left in my apartment, I settled for running my fingers through my hair and splashing some water on my face. "Now for some clothes." I thought as I made my way to the closet, opening the door only to find it empty. "Oh yeah. We couldn't grab anything from the apartment." I realized. "I wonder if Kyoya realized it." I walked back to the bedside table and retrieved the note. I noticed that I had missed a note on the back of the paper.

P.S. Sorry about your wardrobe Kitten, or rather lack there of. I've arranged for some things to be delivered but they won't arrive until later this afternoon. I hope you're not too uncomfortable until then.

"Well this is just great." I said aloud as I tugged at my school uniform from the day before. "I don't want to wear this thing all day" I crossed my arms and thought for a second about where I could find something to wear for the day when there was a knock at my door. "Who's there?" I was answered by the face of a woman popping around the door.

"Hi! I'm Kyoya's sister, can I come in?" Ah so this was Fuyumi, I could see the resemblance.

"Absolutely!" I answered excitedly, smiling as she entered and sat next to me on the bed. "Kyoya told me to come and find you if I needed anything, I'm so glad you found me instead." I knew that if I left this room alone I would be completely lost.

"I'm sorry, Kyoya mentioned that you would be staying here, but he neglected to tell me your name." I hesitated for a minute. "I know you're under protection so I can live with just a first name." She prodded with a smile. I let out a little sigh.

"My name is Yuki." I offered her my hand and she took it eagerly.

"So Yuki, what are your plans for the day?" She asked excitedly. There was no way this girl was out of high school, so why was she here instead of at school? I uoshed my thoughts aside and returned to the conversation.

"Well nothing until this afternoon." I pulled at my wrinkled uniform. "When Kyoya brought me here he didn't really have time to grab any of my things." I sighed, disappointed. "So until the clothes he ordered are delivered, I'm kinda stuck." Fuyumi laughed a little.

"Oh, I'm sure Kyoya wouldn't mind if you raided his closet." Was it my imagination or did she just wink at me? "I would offer you mine but you're much slimmer than I am, although Kyoya's height could be a problem. Let's go see what we can do." Fuyumi pulled me into the hall for what I thought would be the long trip up and down stairs, but instead she turned right into the next room. His room was spacious but plain, nothing on the walls and very little furniture. On one side of the room was a large closet which Fuyumi had already begun to rifle through. "Here, put this on." She handed me an pair of light wash skinny jeans, a light grey graphic-tee, and a black zip up hoodie. I walked to the bathroom and quickly changed. The pants actually fit quite nicely, even if they were a little long. The tee and hoodie were a little baggy but it was a good look for me. I cuffed up the pants and walked out to meet Fuyumi. When I emerged, she let out a giggle. "Now that that's all taken care of, what would you like to do today?" I paused for a moment and thought, finally settling on an idea that wouldn't get me into any more trouble with Kyoya.

"How about you take me on a tour of the house, and we can talk about Kyoya." Okay, so maybe I'll get in a little extra trouble but I had a good idea that Fuyumi was about to suggest we go shopping. Fuyumi's face lit up with excitement/

"Oh that sounds like fun. Besides, you should know about the trouble you're getting into." There it was again, she definitely winked at me. I blushed slightly and followed Fuyumi out into the hallway. As we walked through the house, Fuyumi would share little stories and facts about each room. I listened attentively and on occasion asked her questions. For every room she had a story about Kyoya and some crazy thing that happened. Honestly, I was so distracted by her stories that we talked until well past noon. We sat down in the dining room, the last stop on our tour, and Fuyumi let out a sigh. "I am famished, shall I order some lunch?" I shook my head no.

"What are you hungry for?" I questioned. Fuyumi gave me a puzzled look.

"I was thinking about ordering some curry." She answered, clearly confused. I rose from my chair and looked around.

"Can you take me to the kitchen?" Fuyumi slowly nodded her head and rose from the table, leading me down a short hallway into the massive kitchen. I spent a few minutes familiarizing myself with the layout and the location of ingredients before I got to work. Changing out Kyoya's hoodie for a Chefs smock that was hanging on a hook nearby, I began to prep all of my ingredients. "Curry for how may today?" I asked half joking. Fuyumi stared at me wide eyed.

"You can cook?!" She asked in amazement. I laughed, that was usually the reaction I got when people saw me in the kitchen.

"When I was growing up, we lived near one of the best restaurants in Tokyo. Whenever my father and I had a disagreement, I would hide out there." I recounted my story as I began to chop vegetables and prepare the rice. "At first I would just wash the dishes and watch the chefs cook. They were amazing. After enough time though, the chefs took me under their wing and taught me all about food and cooking. I loved it so much that I went home and blocked off the kitchen so I could cook for about two days." Fuyumi laughed at this and I continued with my story. "I kept practicing and eventually, the restaurant even hired me for a while." I smiled, remembering all the fun I had in that kitchen. We continued chatting until a short time later my curry was finished. I packed two servings away as bento for Kyoya and I at school the next day, and Fuyumi and I returned to the dining room and sat with our bowls. She stared at the bowl and slowly raised the spoon to her lips. As soon as she tasted the curry, she couldn't stop going on about how fantastic it was.

"Oh my, this is amazing." She exclaimed and I began to turn a little pink. "My little brother had better marry you fast. He'd better not let you get away!" WHAT?! At her words my light blush went full red and I turned my head away. Fuyumi laughed and patted my shoulder. "I'm just teasing you, Yuki. Not that I would complain about having you for a sister, but I don't think our father would accept it so easily." She took another bite of curry. Wait, did she say younger brother?

"So you're older than Kyoya?" I asked a little confused. Fuyumi nodded and finished her mouthful before speaking.

"By a few years. I'm actually married now but I like to stay here when my husband is out of town." I nearly spat out my curry.

"You're married?!" I asked in disbelief.

"For almost three years now." She admitted. She did not look that old, it must bee those good Ootori genes. "I still can't believe you made this." Fuyumi continued to gush on and on about that silly curry. Honestly it wasn't even my best recipe.

"If I give her the good stuff, she'll probably try to get Kyoya and I married for real." I joked to myself. We finished our curry and I did the dishes while Fuyumi chatted my ear off about anything. Just as we were discussing what we should do next there was a knock at the front door. A maid appeared to answer it and I quickly hid from sight.

"A package for Mr. Kyoya Ootori." a mans voice stated, sounding bored.

"I'll accept that for him." Fuyumi offered politely. I heard what sounded like a pen and paper, then the door close. "Yuki?" I heard Fuyumi call my name and I stepped out from my hiding place. "I'll be these are the clothes he sent for." She half squealed. "Should we go upstairs and try something on?" I hastily agree and we quickly made our way back to my room. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing dress-up with the beautiful clothes Kyoya had purchased, just for me.
