When Kyoya first announced that I would be joining the Host Club there were mixed emotions. Tamaki lept up from his chair and rushed over to me. His eyes glittered as he leaned closer and closer. He leaned so close that I had to lean away and would have fallen backwards had it not been for Kyoya's strong hand on the small of my back. "You most definitely fit the awkward type." He noted aloud as he leaned away. I righted myself and stole a glance at Kyoya only to see him watching Tamaki with faked attentiveness. I returned my attention to Tamaki only to find him a few feet away in some dramatic pose. "I am the king of this host club. My efforts have brought the handsomest boys together here. Yuki!" He practically shouted my name as he threw his body into another dramatic pose to point in my direction. He wasn't that far away so his finger came close to hitting my nose and I almost fell trying to get out of the way. Again, Kyoya managed to stabilize me with one hand. "You will be my apprentice, once you have completed your training you will be able to meet with guests on your own." At that moment the small boy ran up to me and grabbed my hands. He was very short, with blonde hair cut in a boyish style and he carried around a stuffed pink rabbit. I wouldn't have called him handsome, but adorable fit him perfectly.

"Yu-Chan!" He shouted, as he did he tugged on my hands ever so slightly. "Yu-Chan, I'm so happy you're gonna join us." A huge smile spread across his face and he giggled. I smiled back, feeling a little bad that I didn't know how to address him. Kyoya placed a hand on my shoulder and I turned my head toward him.

"Allow me to introduce you," He offered with a smile. "This is Haninozuka Senpi, third year student and our boy lolita." I had to choke back my surprise when he told me the boy's name. Haninozuka Senpi was one of the gifted boys that Kyoya had mentioned earlier. I turned back to face the little boy, trying to hide my amazement.

"I'm very honored to join the host club, Haninozuka Senpi." I bowed as deeply as possible, seeing as how the boy was still holding my hands. "I look forward to learning from you and all the other boys." There was a brief silence as I righted myself and saw that Haninozuka Senpi had a wide eyed expression. At first I feared that I had offended him. I bowed and apologized repeatedly in an effort to fix whatever I had damaged, but Haninozuka Senpai simply laughed.

"You're weird , just call me Honey Senpai." He giggled and turned away to the strong, silent one. "Isn't that right Takashi?" Honey Senpai asked with a huge grin across his face. The tall boy simply nodded and mumbled something, but I couldn't quite make it out. It sounded like he said "That's right" but I couldn't be sure.

"This is Morinozuka Senpi, but it's quite alright for you to call him Mori Senpi." I bowed and greeted the tall boy, but he only nodded his head and grunted in acknowledgement. Kyoya seemed to understand the gesture and pushed me along to introduce me to the others, his next objective being the twins. Before I could say a word the two boys simultaneously looked at each other and smirked mischeviously. "This is Hikaru and Kaoru, the Hitachin twins." The two boys moved behind me in perfect synchronization and each laid a hand on one of my shoulders.

"Well, this should be interesting," one twin whispered in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. "We'll see how you do, Mr. Kasuka." the other twin finished, putting more emphasis on the 'mister' than was needed. At this, a strange look passed over Kyoya's face and he pushed me on to the last member and dragged the twins away for a private conversation. As I approached the last member, I knew instantly that she was no boy. She smiled pleasantly and waved to me before I even reached her.

"Hi! My name's Haruhi Fujioka, it's so nice to meet you!" I didn't understand why she was dressed like a boy, but compared to some of the others I had met, she was perfectly normal.

"Finally," I thought to myself. "Someone else here isn't crazy." As I was in the middle of greeting her, Tamaki decided to pop up, scaring me half out of my skin. Haruhi, who wasn't expecting the royal weirdo to pop up either, quickly moved away, accidentally knocking into me. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't catch my balance and fell to the floor. It wasn't a big deal, but of course the four present club members had surrounded me. Sensing the commotion Kyoya and the twins quickly returned. Thankfully, Haruhi had helped me up by the time they came back, so I didn't have to worry about Kyoya looking down at me with that condescending stare.

"Please try to be more careful Mr. Kasuka," I heard Kyoya's cool voice behind me and it sent a shiver down my spine. "We wouldn't want you to get hurt." I was about to retort when I heard that odd bell.

"Our time has come to an end so soon." Tamaki dramatically lamented. Wow, could this guy lay it on thick. "Parting is such sweet sorrow, but so much fun will come tomorrow. Farewell!" And with those parting words he half twirled out the door. Each of the club members filed out in turn, saying their goodbyes, until it was only Kyoya and I were left alone. Neither of us said anything for a few moments.

"You really should be more careful." Kyoya was the first to break the silence. My cheeks burned at his words. He spoke softly, almost as if he was actually worried. I pushed the thought from my head just as soon as it appeared.

"You don't have to worry about little falls like that." I said quietly. "That's nothing compared to what I've dealt with." And with that I walked away, leaving Kyoya to look after me as I hurried down the hall, hiding the lone tear as it fell.
