Holly POV

The afternoon sun blared down on us as I laid back on the grass outside our school. It was the end of the day but Tanya was running late from her lesson so I was waiting outside for her to come out. Glancing down at my phone, I saw a message ping through on my phone from Tanya telling me she'd be five minutes, though Tanya's version of five minutes probably meant at least half an hour.

Getting too hot in the sun, and knowing I would be here for a while, I got up and moved over to a large willow tree that was planted in the grounds and perched down at the base of it. I allowed myself to relax against the tree for a few minutes in silence before I heard the sound of a twig snapping above me. Not needing to look up to see who it was, I smiled to myself.

"Been wondering when you were gonna come and visit little ol' me," I commented, smirking to myself as the sound of someone dropping from the tree caught my attention.

Looking to my left I saw Selina dropping onto the floor beside me, dressed in her usual leather attire. Smirking over at me, Selina sat beside me, leaning against the trunk beside me.

"You're out of food," Selina told me.

"Oh. I have money for it, if you need any," I offered, but Selina just shook her head.

"That's fine. I got it elsewhere," Selena answered, reaching into her pocket, and taking out a handful of cash.

"Did you steal that?" I asked, eyes wide as I glanced around to make sure no one else was nearby.

"Only from the rich suckers. They didn't need it anyway," Selina shrugged. "And..." Selina reached back into her pocket and pulled out a chocolate bar. "I have a gift."

"What's that for?" I inquired, curiously looking at the chocolate.

"Well, it was actually Ivy's idea. She's better now so we're gonna be moving out," Selina told me.

"Moving out?" I asked, shocked she would have already decided something like this. "You know you guys can stay for as long as you want. Even if it isn't cause Ivy's ill."

"Aww, Holly. I didn't know you cared," Selina cooed, using her free hand to squeeze my cheek.

"You already knew that," I countered, slapping the hand from my cheek. "But seriously, you can stay."

Selina was silent for a moment before her eyes softened.

"Do you get lonely?" Selina asked seriously.

"Do you?" I replied.

"I'm serious, kid. If it's cause you need a friend, just say," Selina said, nudging me in the side.

Not knowing how to respond to that, I just gave her a smile and broke the chocolate in half. Silently, I handed Selina the other half.

"You just say the word, kid. I'll be there," Selina said.

Just then, my phone that had been on the floor in between us started to ring. Originally, I didn't plan to answer it but after it kept going and Selina looked like she was about to smash it against the tree trunk, I finally answered it.

"Hello?" I spoke down the phone, watching as Selina began to break her chocolate into squares.

"Holly, hi. You answered. I was starting to think you weren't gonna pick up," Bruce's voice replied down the phone.

"You're back! Selina and I were beginning to think you'd disappeared right off the map," I told him.

"Oh, that was Alfred's fault. He dragged us off to the Alps after the whole assassin thing," Bruce explained.
