CHAPTER 14

ALAINA'S POV

I groaned as I opened my eyes. I felt like I was sleeping for months. Everything , everywhere hurt so badly. I looked around and came across a unfamiliar room. Where am I?

I saw Riley lying beside me. "Riley, Riley! Wake up!"I whispered in her ears. She Jumped and before she could scream I put my hand on her mouth.

When she calm down I cautiously removed my hand from her mouth."Ali you are awake!" She said excitedly. "How long have I been asleep for?And where are we?"I asked."We are at Adam's House and you have been asleep for 2 days."

I looked around and then my gaze fell down to my clothes they were all clean.Oh shit what if someone saw my cut's and Bruises."D-Did any-anyone saw."I stuttered.

"Don't worry I did everything and Kenzie helped a bit too ,but she didn't see anything."Riley assured me.I sighed and looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was still 3:00 in morning.Wow what a great timing of waking up.

"So where are they?"I asked."They are sleeping in guest room.You are In Adam's room so.."She trailed off.

"You know Adam was very worried when you weren't waking up.He always came and check up on you.Even at night.I think he likes you Ali."She blurted out. My cheeks started burning up.It was pretty dark so Riley didn't see me Blush.

Adam white likes me.Hah!you must be joking.

"You're delusional.Go to sleep Riley,I will be okay."I whispered.

"But-"

"Just get some rest Riley.I love you!"I kissed her forehead as she went deep into sleep.

I looked at the clock.It was 5:00 in morning and I still lay wide awake on the bed. I could hear soft snoring coming from Riley.

After few minutes I decided to go outside for fresh air. Come on!can you blame me.I have been sleeping for 2 days.

I somehow managed to get up from my bed because my side stomach is killing me but I am used to it know. I tip-toed my way down the stairs.

When I reached downstairs I saw Jace sleeping on the couch in a weird position.I chuckled to myself.

I slowly opened the gate without making any noise.I quickly made my way towards the swing in the garden after closing the door behind me.

Adam's house was pretty beautiful.I could hears birds chirping all around me.I took a deep breath which resulted in more pain in my ribs.Note to yourself Kids,Don't take deep breaths when you are hurt.

Soon sun began to rise and the cars on the road increased.My mind wandered to the events of that night.Tears rolled down my eyes as my memories came rushing.

Why me?

"Stop struggling,Bitch."He growled.Fuck!I know this voice.Ivan.I was shaking in his hold. He threw me on the wall with force.My head impact on the wall causing a concussion .He came closer and pinned me against the wall.

His Face so close to mine.He smirked as he started trailing kisses down my neck.I wanted to scream for help but his hand was covering my mouth.

"How was the party Alaina?"He smirked.Oh Fuck!He saw me."I told David and he told me to teach you a lesson for disobeying him."

I silently sobbed. I brought my knees on the level of my chest and buried my face in them.I have only cried like this when I was raped by David.I remained strong when he beat me but still some tears managed to escape.So why I am crying now?He just hit me he didn't rape me.

Every single thing that I have experienced still hurts the same as first time.How will I ever be able to get rid of my past?How will I ever be happy again?

I was so much in thought that I didn't even notice when someone came and sat beside me. I looked up and saw Adam staring into the space."Adam?!"He snapped back into reality and looked at me with sadness and rage in his eyes.

He sighed and wrapped his arms around my slender body.I hugged him back as another silent sob escape my lips."Shh...Al you are safe now."He assured me.If only he knew I will never be safe!

He removed his arms from me as I fell into his laps.He played with my hair which I found oddly calming.We didn't speak for minutes until I broke the silence."Adam!How did you find me..that night."He looked down as we made an eye contact for a second.

"I..Uh was running when I heard someone's screams."He mumbled running a hand through his hair

"Thank you for saving me."I said.My gaze wandered towards his face.I wanted to tell him everything thing.Every fucking thing happen to me in this 5 years.But I know I couldn't.

Even if I like him or even when he saved me I won't be able to trust him so easily and I blame all of that on David and Emily.I don't want to be broken again if I let someone in.
Why I am like that?

"Hmm...How long have you been awake for?" He asked biting inside of his cheek."3 hours." I mumbled.

"3 hours! You should have wake me or anyone." He sighed." Sorry."I whispered.

"We should go inside."I patted his shoulders as I got up.He nodded his head and we went inside.

When will I trust him?When will I let someone in who isn't Riley?
