CHAPTER 31

ADAM'S POV

"Jace we are late!"I hissed as Jace hides a gun in his back pocket."I know!Did you take yours in case the deal goes sideways?"I nodded my head.

We finally head out of our safe house with Chase,Liam and Justin behind us in a car.The three of them work for me and are my friends but we are not that close.

We sat there with comfortable silence until jace broke it."I asked Riley out."He said letting out a breath."That's great!Did she say yes?"I asked.He hesitated but then nodded.What was that?She said yes than why did he hesitate?

"I never had feelings for someone and now I do I am scared."He answered my question before I could ask.I sighed and patted his shoulders.

"Go for It dude!She likes you to! Alaina told me."I exclaimed."Easy for you to say!You already have a girlfriend!"He frowned.

"Do you like her?"He asked me after a moment of silence."Yes!very much"I really do like her!I want to fell in love with her and protect her all my life.

Fuck!what am I even saying!I am going completely crazy.

"See..."He trailed off."What?"I was getting frustrated now.Why can't he just admit it and get over it.

"It's easy for you.You have been in a relationship and you didn't slept with many girls."That's offensive."That relationship was nothing."Compared with Alaina.He just groaned in response.

That girl just wanted to date me for popularity. The girl was new so I thought she would be nice.But well I was wrong.We barely went on two dates and I did ask her to be my girlfriend but she ended up cheating on me other night.I was furious and decided never to date.Then I met Alaina.

I noticed her in the cafeteria sitting alone at the far most corner eating her food more like playing with it.That's when I notice a bruise on her neck which was covered poorly.So I decided to interfere in her life.I found out her free periods and urged her to be my tutor so that we can become friends and she could be open with me.

I didn't thought that I would end up falling for her in such a way that I couldn't stay away from her for long.

We finally reached their office.It was a three storey building and was old.We entered the building and there were only two people guarding the entrance.

As we walked further towards their office we noticed the place was not secured.So even if the deal goes sideways we five would easily be able to take them out if they attack us first.

I pushed open the gate and walked inside the room with Jace beside me.The office was quite old.There was a huge desk in the middle of room and a painting hanging on the wall in front of us.

There was a small table at the corner of room and a desk.Moreover the place looked very antique.

"Ah!Mr.White."We were greeted by a middle-aged men."I am Charlie!Shall we get to the business?"I nodded and made my way towards his table.

Two hours passed and we had a feeling that It was not going well.I could tell by Charlie's face that he was angry.

"We don't want this deal!We are leaving."I exclaimed as we stood up.We just wasted two hours for fucking nothing.

"You can't leave without making a deal."He angrily said while glaring at us."We said we don't want it."Jace almost screamed.

Charlie took out his gun as we did the same.He shot the pistol right above us.Ha!Like we can't take that shit.I pointed my gun straight at his forehead.He didn't look scared Just angry.

Soon the door bust open and five guards walked in.I looked at Charlie and he had a smirk plastered across his face.

We immediately took cover behind small desk in corner when a gun shot barely missed us.I told Jace to call Chase,Liam and Justin between fire shots they were firing.

I shot one guard as he dropped to the floor.Jace hit one guards leg.Soon Chase,Liam and Justin barged into the room with gun in there hands.

I signalled Three of them to take them out because they can easily handle them.Me and Jace rushed out of the exit.

The two guards that were guarding the front gate before were now blocking it.They had their gun pointed towards us.One of them shoot towards me and I easily dodged it.I aimed my gun to him and shoot his ribs.He cried and fell down.I looked over at Jace and the other guard was knocked unconscious.We kill people only when things go to far.

We ran out of the exit.Few seconds later Chase and Liam came out carrying Justin's unconscious body."What happened?"I asked as they place Justin down in backseat."He got hit in his stomach.He just need some bandaging and So do you!"Chase said pointing at my shoulder.

I looked at my shoulder and there was a cut formed.How did it even get there?After we reached our safe house I called Jared to treat Justin and clean my wound.I left in short time Asking Liam to stay with Justin overnight.

I checked at Allie before going to Alaina's.It was 2 in morning so I didn't expect her to be awake.I opened the gate and the lights were still on.I glanced over at Alaina and she was sleeping peacefully.I walked over her and saw Bruised fingerprints on her neck and cigarette burn marks which were swollen.She is hurt!My breathing become uneven and anger was boiling inside me.

I looked at bedside table and saw empty bottle of Vodka.She drank whole fucking bottle.I should have stayed here with her.She wouldn't have gotten hurt.I promised her to always protect her.The guilt of it was killing me.This is all my Fucking fault.
