The last he saw of the god, Zeus was a hundred feet tall, holding the Argo II by its prow. He boomed, "HOLD ON!"

Then he tossed the ship up and spiked it overhand like a volleyball.

If he hadn’t been strapped to the mast with one of Yoongi's twenty-point safety harnesses, he would have disintegrated. As it was, his stomach tried to stay behind in Greece and all the air was sucked out of his lungs.

The sky turned black. The ship rattled and creaked. The deck cracked like thin ice under his legs and, with a sonic boom, the Argo II hurtled out of the clouds.

"Taehyung!" Yoongi shouted. "Hurry!"

He watched as Tae managed to undo the straps. Yoongi was lashed to the control console, desperately trying to right the ship as they spiralled downward in free fall. The sails were on fire. Festus creaked in alarm. A catapult peeled away and lifted into the air. Centrifugal force sent the shields flying off the railings like metal Frisbees.

Wider cracks opened in the deck as Taehyung staggered towards the hold, using the winds to keep himself anchored.

Then the hatch burst open. Jin and Hosoek stumbled through, pulling on the guide rope they’d attached to the mast. Namjoon followed looking disoriented.

"Go!" Yoongi yelled. "Go, go, go!"

Taehyung flew down to the front of the ship, to try to slow down the velocity of the ship. It worked to some extent, but they were still going at a very high speed.

It was just a thought, but then he wondered if it would actually work. He called out for Blackjack. He didn't knew if it would work. He just tried.

Not seconds later two pegasi came down on the deck flapping their wings sluggishly, the movement of the ship not at all doing them any favour. It was blackjack and another brown Pegasus.

Woah, boss. This ship is really making me sick now. You might want to hurry. Blackjack neighed. His friends stood their shocked. He is the only help I could get the others are in the battle right now.

"Come on guys we need to go now. Namjoon and Jin, get on one Pegasus. Hosoek hop in with me. Yoongi you can still fly with your fire right?" He shouted over the roar of winds.

"Yeah, I can. You better be fast. We are gonna crash soon." Yoongi shouted back as he rose up in the air fire engulfing him. He climbed on top of Blackjack and Hosoek followed sitting behind. The moment they were settled Blackjack rose out of the ship, a little out of balance and sluggish at first but then Blackjack rose with them. Behind them Namjoon and Jin were also up in the air.

Yoongi shouted at Tae to move away and when Taehyung confirmed that every one was safe out of the ship, he moved away from the ship's trajectory. He noticed that Yoongi has Festus in his hands. They watched as the ship shot forward still high in speed towards their camp in Long Island.

They reached the camp a little later than the ship which had crashed straight into Polybotes, the giant. He was pretty sure Taehyung had made the ship shoot at its aim. The campers around the giant ran for safety as fire erupted around. He wished that was enough to kill the giant, but of course the giant rose from the ruins, his wounds healing.

The ground wasn’t much less chaotic.
As they flew on the pegasi, he saw a vast army of monsters spread across the hills – cynocephali, two- headed men, wild centaurs, ogres, Cyclopes, things he had seen that night and others he couldn’t even name – surrounding two tiny islands of demigods. At the crest of Half-Blood Hill, was the main force of Camp Half-Blood along with the Centaurs Chiron has asked help from. They all wore Greek armour and helmets, making it easy to distinguish from the bad Centaurs. Some demigods on pegasi shooting down at the monsters from air.

Namjoon, Jin and Yoongi made their way to the group of demigods surrounded by the monsters as Taehyung, Hosoek and he veered right towards the summit of Half-Blood Hill.

He saw the Ares cabin on the front lines, slashing their way through a crowd of two-headed men. He tried not to think about him as he dismounted Blackjack, but then the Pegasus asked. Boss, where's the Hades boy?

He didn't know what blackjack saw on his face, but he guessed the Pegasus knew because it suddenly looked dejected. He stroked him once. "Thank you."

He jumped in, slashing at dracaenae and Earthborn.

"About time!" Austin called from beside him. "Glad you could join us!"

He said tiredly. "We had some giants to kill!"

Austin noticed his tone, but didn't comment on it. "Excellent!" Austin tried to give him a smile. "Help yourself to some barbarians."

That did brought a smile to his face. "Why, thank you!"

They launched into battle side by side.
He moved forward towards the giant who was sweeping campers off their feet with his trident. He saw Kayla who nodded at him, then went back to turning two-headed men into no-headed corpses. "I saw the ship. Is everyone okay?" She asked.

He frowned. Instead of answering he attacked more violently at a Cyclops. Kayla seemed to get it because her was then a mask of horror before she went back stabbing the monsters.

He saw lighting strike the earth a few yards away, probably where Taehyung was fighting now. Then there was fire shooting out of Yoongi, him burning everything in his path. He heard Jin yelling angrily using charm speak.

His anger gave him renewed strength. The campers  slowly pushed back the
enemies. Wild centaurs toppled. Wolf-headed men howled as they were cut to ashes.

More monsters kept appearing – karpoi grain spirits swirling out of the grass, he really hated those things, gryphons diving from the sky, lumpy clay humanoids that made him think of evil Play-Doh men.

"They’re ghosts with earthen shells!" An Ares camper warned. "Don’t let them hit you!"

Obviously Gaia had kept some surprises in reserve. From behind him a wave of flaming arrows arced over the camper's line, destroying a platoon of ogres. They moved, impaling centaurs and trampling wounded ogres under their bronze-tipped boots.

A little away from him he noticed the ground crack open. For gods sake he thought Gaia was gone. But what crawled out the earth was not monsters. It was zombies in Greek armour and with weapons. Something he had seen a lot in the past few days. He froze. His hand raised in mid-air. A monster slashed it's claws over his back snapping him out of it. He turned around stabbing at it not even bothering about the pain.

Monsters kept coming. He was confused. He was angry. He realised a tide of water was rising up in the canoe lake. Now it rose to several feet high before it came crashing down on the wave of monsters.
