Just one vent session ruined everything for me...everything. For a moment my love life was on the front page of the school newspaper. (Not literally) the look in Eva's eyes when she told me she knew

Me: you know? How did you-

Eva: does it even matter Zola?! You went and got busy with her while i was making plans for us!

Me: Eva I didn't do anything with her I swear

Eva: SHE TOUCHED YOU!!! You let her touch you Zola! How could you?!

Me: I-

Eva: I don't wanna hear it i don't even wanna talk to you

Me: Eva just listen would you!

Eva: okay..go on..

Me: you weren't there, I tried Eva I tried but you made me feel like shit. All I ever wanted was your time and attention but you never gave me. You're always busy with something but never have time for me.

Eva: so every time i don't give you attention you going to turn to someone else?

Me: no

Eva: but you did! This (she shows me screenshots of text messages between me and Sam where i had been telling him about Taelo) hurt me more than anything.

Shit shit shit!!! How could he!!!

Me: I'm sorry Eva..I really am. It will never happen again I promise

Eva: you're right..it won't

Me: what..whats that supposed to mean?

Eva: we're over Zola

She says and walks away

Me: Eva?!!

I shout but she ignores me..my heart fell to the floor right there and then and i had no strength to pick it up.

"I didn't do it Zola i swear" Sam's text reads.

"Then who did?" I respond

Sam: promise me you won't get angry and do anything stupid

Me: Sam just talk damit

Sam: so remember the day you told me about Taelo? ..well I had to quickly attend to something so i left my phone in the charger.. Levy must've taken my phone and went to our chats and took screenshots and sent them to Eva so you guys could break up and she would be Eva's shoulder to cry on. Furthermore she continued talking to you pretending to be me to get enough information. Eva couldn't believe all of this so she had someone keep a tab on you and the person took pictures of you and Taelo together

Me: what the hell!!! Levy clearly doesn't know me..I'll sort her out

Sam: no no no don't do that Zola. It will only make Eva angry.

Me: well I can't just sit and do nothing.

Sam: you can.. just wait for her to calm down. I'll talk to her and update you

Me: okay.. thank you so much Sam

Sam: anything for you

Few days later*

Mandisa: friend there's so much drama going on in your life... Taelo has been looking for you, Eva is telling everyone how much you hurt her

I look at her and shake my head. I've been a walking zombie for the past 3 days feeling numb and just empty. Loosing Eva felt like i was losing a huge part of me and the fact that she wanted nothing to do with me hurt more than anything she wouldn't even hear me out.

Me: let me go hear what Taelo wants

Mandisa: babes do you think that's a good idea?

Me: she'll never stop until i see her so..

Mandisa: okay goodluck friend. I love you okay?!

Me: I love you too bestie

We hugged and i got up taking my bag. I went upstairs to the art room but instead I saw her standing near the restrooms at the corridors, I took a deep breath in and walked to her.

Me: hi

Taelo: oh hey I'm glad you came

I rolled my eyes

Taelo: hug?

She asked with her arms already open to bring me to her embrace. I always liked her warm hugs but on this particular day I didn't want anything from her

Taelo: come on its just an innocent hug

I huffed and hesitantly snuggled myself to her warm embrace but I quickly moved away as a sense of fear hovered me.

Me: so i heard you've been looking for me

Taelo: yeah.. I miss you

Me: wow

I irritably roll my eyes and attempt to walk away but she grabs my arm

Me: what?!

Taelo: Zola.. why did you change? You don't treat me the same anymore

Me: I told you to stop this. I don't want to lose my girlfriend over you so please leave me alone

I yanked my arm off her grip and walked away but I noticed Eva had been standing at the corner of the corridors but turned and walked away the moment our eyes locked. I felt a sharp pierce going through my heart it was almost as if i was going to collapse there and then but I sighed and continued walking to where i was headed.
