It all feels too perfect and unreal when its done the right way..when you're loved right
That's how it felt with Ronda..i was happy..genuine happiness, something I hadn't felt in so long. She thought i was perfect..why would anyone think that. Couldn't she see all the flaws? My imperfections? All my wrongs? Was she blind to all of it? "But maybe she didn't know me that well" I thought but it was the total opposite,she knows me well enough, I'm an open book, its easy to learn me, it doesn't take time to figure me out you just have to know what you're doing..
"Zola!" Mandisa calls out
"Mmm?!" I respond coming back to life
Mandisa: who are you daydreaming so much about?
Me: no one ..so you were saying?
Mandisa: oh no girl you're not going to run away from this give that phone here
She snatched my phone from my hands and saw my conversation with Ronda on my Instagram
Mandisa: ZOLAAAA!!!
She says dramatically putting her hands over her mouth
Me: what?? Bring my phone back please
I try to take it from her but she gets up from my bed and runs across the room with it
Mandisa: you like her!!!
Voice: who likes who?
We both turn to the door and Kim is trying to close the door behind her. She has a bottle of wine and 3 wine glasses with her
Me: and then?
Kim: hawuuu it's still your birthday month mos so we can still enjoy it. Plus you're legal now
Me: ye but you guys aren't
Kim: doesn't matter..so who likes who

Mandisa: well Zola over here has a crush on Ronda
Kim: Ronda?
Mandisa: yeppp!
Me: mandisa!!
Kim: isn't that Eva's best friend?

She says handing both me and mandisa a glass with wine
Kim: so what are we Netflixing today
We all cozy up on my bed and watch Netflix on my laptop

Me: ye we should..when?

Me: yeppp
Ronda: cool so I'll text you when I get back from school and you can come through.
Me: sure
I drop the call and mandisa is looking at me impatiently waiting for me to say something
Mandisa: sooo?
Me: we're linking up this Saturday
Mandisa squeals in excitement and i cant help but join her
Me: but friend this is wrong.. Ronda is Eva's best friend and I can't do this to her
Mandisa: Eva has done you wrong so many times before and she never considered your feelings
Me: you're making this look like revenge
Mandisa: is it?
Me: no..no of course not
Mandisa: then stop overthinking it. You can't put your happiness on hold because of someone else. Look at you.. you brighten up when someone mentions Ronda's name.. do you really want to let go of all that because of some asshole?
Me: no
Mandisa: good now lets do our homework please you know how hard matric is
Me: where's Kim anyway..I don't see much of her these days
Mandisa: she's probably with her girlfriend having the best sex ever

I say and get up and go to the kitchen to get us a snack.
