Chapter 24

Days, Weeks and months went past in a blur, not once did I see a light in the future. Taking day by day I stood strong for my son. It's been almost a year since I buried Darcy and Harry, Joshua is now Three Years old and is growing more like his father day by day.

Sitting at the kitchen table I watched as Josh played with his toys, sighing I looked back down at the table. I still wore the engagement ring that I had found at Harry's house.

Not once in this year have I thought about moving on and finding someone new. I still love Harry and people just keep telling me he is gone it's time to move on.

I just don't listen to them anymore, I rarely leave the house anymore. Only to take Joshua to his Child Care, yes that's right I put Joshua into a centre its only for a couple days a week just to really give me time to organise stuff such as me moving.

I'm moving to Australia in a couple hours it hurts to leave Anne and everyone behind, Jessica is coming with me we are moving there together.
It's time to start fresh and find myself again, I want to give my son a home somewhere where I won't feel down all the time. England has to many memories for me and staying will cause more pain.  

The doorbell rung signalling that Anne was here to see her Grandson, she walked in smiling and sighed heavily when she seen that the place was empty apart from Joshua's and mine bags.  She walked over to me and hugged me tightly not wanting to let go " Please come visit me "  I said sadly to her and she nodded " Your my daughter in-law of course I will come see you and my beautiful Minnie Harry " she said as she turned around and looked at Joshua.

He smiled at his Gran and walked over to her hugging her leg before she leaned down and picked him up. He has started saying Gra and Mum but lately I have been showing him pictures of Harry so he started saying D for Dad and it made me cry the first time he said it.

It sounds so sweet and I really wish Harry could of heard it but he won't be able to. I haven't really spoken about Darcy to him just yet but I think he knows Darcy already he just smiles whenever he sees a picture of her.

Anne looked over at me and smiled " You better get to the airport " she told me and I nodded.

Some might say that I have made the right decision to leave here and pick up my life somewhere else and others might say that its stupid taking my son away from his only family but I have decided that it's for the best and i want the best for my child.

I'll never be able to see my Daughters and late lovers graves again but every day I will think of their memories and hold them close to my heart. Having this ring on m finger l will remember the love he and i held for each other.

And having Darcy's favourite blanket with me all the time will remind me that my daughter is never too far and she will always be right by my side watching down on me and her brother.

Sitting on the plane Jessica grabbed my hand and smiled " Here we go " she told me before the plane took off for a different world .
