RUBY Has a Daughter?!

Chapter 5

What I was able update this story in back to back weeks!? Yeah, this isn't a long chapter and I said why the heck not I can release this one. So I hope you enjoy this one.

Ruby woke up groggily. She blinked a few times, looking at the ceiling; she tried to sit up but felt something weighing her down? Ruby then saw Neo snuggling up close to her chest; Ruby's face got red and slowly and carefully got out the bed not to wake Neo, which was almost near impossible at first since Neo was gripping Ruby for dear life. Ruby had to put a pillow where she was swift to escape her grasp. Ruby got up and got dressed and decided to fix some breakfast for the two of them.

It didn't take long for Neo to wake up afterward. After Ruby put some food on the little table in the room for them and looked at Neo while eating, Neo got the hint and got up to get dressed and change. After getting dressed, she went over and sat across Ruby and began eating. While she was eating, she had her umbrella right next to her the entire time and watched Ruby like a hawk if she tried anything. It was quiet for a minute before Ruby finally broke the silence.

Ruby: "So I guess you're here to try and kill me for putting your boss behind bars or something?"

Neo: *type* "Basically."

Ruby: "Look it is not my fault he is a bad guy and I had to do what was right and have him locked up! He shouldn't have tried to rob that dust shop and lend Grimm to the city! He was evil and he got what was coming toward him."

Neo: *rolls her eyes and type* "You really think it's that simple? That the world is black and white? That everyone is either good or bad?" *Type* "Man, I knew you were young, but I didn't think you were this naïve."

Ruby: she gets pissed at Neo's comment about her being naïve. "I'M NOT! You're clearly BAD!?!"

Neo: *type* "Really? Tell me, do you know what she is really fighting for? Your reason for doing the things you do?"

Ruby: "I want to be a great huntress to slay Grimm. I fight for...I fight for those who can't defend themselves. I do this because it's what's right."

Neo: *type* "What right? So you are saying what is right in bringing someone in without knowing their story? Let's say they had to rob a place because they couldn't find a job? So you're saying you fight those who can't defend themselves but what if they want your help?" *type* "And you basically say there is nothing else to being a huntress than slaying Grimm? Tell me, how is that naïve thinking?"

Ruby: "I...I.." Ruby was a little stumped by Neo's question. Could she bring someone down if she thinks it was right, but they are doing what they have to survive? And someone not wanting her help? And, of course, there are more slaying Grimm! But, what afterward? What after she gets tired of killing Grimm? Would she get tired of doing that?! UGH, She is so confused!!!

Neo can see Ruby is conflicted with her answer and thinking hard about what she said. Neo smiles at her, and Ruby sees this; Neo gets up and leaves the room with a smile. Ruby bangs her head on the desk.

Ruby: 'This is going to be a long day!'

Ruby and Neo were currently in the woods. Ruby was currently slaying Grimm while Neo was a reasonable distance behind her, watching doing all of this. They have made a few trips back to the village, and Ruby asks them questions about any more sightings? Or anything else they need help with anything. Neo just rolls her eyes, watching Ruby do all of this. When they head back into the woods, and Ruby kills some more Grimm, she decides to take a break and sit on a rock; Neo wasn't too far away from her and decided to ask this rose a question; she typed something out and sent it over to Ruby. Ruby was a little surprised by the notification and pulled out her scroll to see it was from Neo; she looked up and looked at her while Neo gave her an I'm waiting look.
