RUBY Has a Daughter?!

Chapter 24

I TOLD YOU ALL, I wasn't gone with this story. Just a lot of things been going on in IRL, to which I will talk about next chapter whenever that's gets done.

It has been a good two weeks since the massive Grimm attack. Each side has been doing its usual plan. For RNP, the three, thankfully, traveling has been easy. They rest for a week in a village they found a day later from traveling.

They need to, given Ruby push herself pretty hard when fighting two S-rank Grimm and seven semi-Humonoid Grimm. It also didn't help Ruby mess up her shoulder a bit when using her sister Yang's gauntlets; never use those things, for sure.

Once Ruby was good to go, they made sure all they were stook up and began their 'adventure' to Patch. Neo and Penny took most watches since they believed Ruby needed a break and wanted her to be good to go for anything; Since she was the fastest out of the three of them and could react to something if anything ever came up. 

So Ruby got to carry Jade most of the time while walking. Ruby was a little worried when Jade would grip her for dear life, like if she let go, Ruby would disappear. Ruby initially believes it was due to her last fight with the Grimms. But something deep down is telling Ruby it has something to do with Jade's vision she gets?

This made Ruby disheartened since she could stop Jade's last vision, meaning just because she sees it doesn't mean it is set in stone. Ruby decided she should talk with Jade.

While they were setting up camp, Ruby went to Jade, sitting in a tree. Jade climbed a tree just because; Ruby hopped quickly into the tree. Next to her daughter, leaning against the tree's central part.

Jade: "Mom..."

Ruby: "Hey, my little cookie. Mind if I sit up here with you."

Jade: "Mhm..." The two sat in silence for a bit before Ruby finally spoke.

Ruby: "Jade.... *sigh* we need to talk."

Jade: "Mom...." Jade looked away and wanted to say something, but she was clearly holding it in.

Ruby: "Jade, ever since I got back from helping your aunts and uncle. You've given me mixed signals. With how you've been holding on to me? You often staring off into space and looking scared? I know it has something to do with your vision but I need you to tell me, what did you see and what was on your mind?"

Jade: "I...I...don't know mom...it's...." Jade grips his arms as she curls up in a ball.

Ruby: *brings her daughter close and hugs her* "Jade, you're my daughter, I care for you just as much as your mom. I don't want to see you hurt or going through so much. I know it is not easy what you're going through, and I wish I could do more for you. Jade, please tell me what you see that makes you so scared. If it is something bad, your mom and I can stop it!"

Ruby: "I was able to stop your last vision from happening. I want to show you just because you can see it and it is bad doesn't mean it set it stone. Nothing is set and stone! Especially your future, if you don't like how things are going or will happen we have to take matters in our own hands and change it."
