RUBY Has a Daughter?!

Chapter 27

Howdy, Howdy; I'm here to drop another chapter! AND OOOOOH BOY!! THIS CHAPTER FOR ME!! Let me just start with this has been one I been wanting to write for A VERY VERY LONG TIME! AKA; since the CREATION OF THIS STORY/FIC!

Oh YEAH! It's one of those chapters!! Why? Let's just say something that either is going make you all love or hate me. So first *snap finger* 

*Body Armor mode: ACTIVE!* I'm going need this because I'm expecting some confused comment and WTF at the end of this. But if you read the post chapter stuff I will explain why.

We start with seeing Ruby and her gang walking through the forest. It has been only a day since Ruby and Neo fight with Adam and Tyrian, along with their run-in with Salem for the first time.

It has been a tranquil journey for the day, remembering how the morning started.

Flashback

Ruby: "Mhmmm...." Ruby blinks her eyes, and she sees the clear blue sky. Leaning up, the cover she had on her falls off. We then see she has a bandage wrapped around her chest to her stomach area and most of it covering her left arm.

Ruby winces a little from the pain but looks around to see if she sees anyone; her eyes would fall over to watching Penny, who looks over and sees Ruby is finally awake.

Penny: "You're finally awake!" Penny rushed over to Ruby and was about to hug her, but she stopped herself when she saw the bandage wrap around Ruby. A sad look appeared on her face. Rubbing her arm, looking down to the side, "I'm sorry...I should have-"

Ruby: "Penny, please don't blame yourself. We wasn't expecting them at all." Ruby winces a little as she stands up.

Penny: "You should rest Ruby your-"

Ruby: "I'm fine, don't worry." Ruby smiles at Penny, even though Penny isn't buying that hug. "I would like to see Neo and Jade...are they ok?"

Penny: "Neo is ok; nothing major happened to her, but Jade...she...she is still trying to process everything from yesterday."

Ruby: "I see..." Ruby looked down a little sad, but after taking a deep breath, she put on a neutral expression.

Ruby approached Neo and Jade; the two had their backs towards Ruby as Neo sat beside their daughter, with Jade leaning on Neo.

Ruby: "Hey, you two...got room enough for one more."

The two heads turned quickly, and once they saw Ruby, Jade hopped up and jumped towards Ruby, who again winced a bit but had a soft smile as she hugged her daughter.

Jade: "Mom... you're awake." Jade grip Ruby's red hood.

Ruby: "Yeah, don't worry, it's gonna take me a lot more to bring me down." Jade hugged harder. "It's ok; I'm here; I'm not going anywhere."

She rubs her daughter's back; to ease her, Ruby, in her mind, doesn't know what to say right now. Given Jade nearly had a near-death experience at such a young age. It makes Jade scared more than ever. But right now, Ruby felt like this. All she could do was be there for Jade to let her know she was there for her. She is still Jade's super mom...nothing will take that away from her.
