RUBY Has a Daughter?!

Chapter 9.5

AYO!!! Yep, surprise, surprise I was able to get a chapter out back to back week. This Chapter got done a lot earlier then I thought. I thought it was going be longer and it was original with Chapter 9 but how things were flowing I wanted Chapter 9 to end with Neo before we continue. But, because how short this chapter is it .5 Lol. This chapter will be the finally of the flashback, not much to say but other then...

We are currently following Neo around. Neo has been keeping a close eye on Ruby since they got back and can tell Ruby is in deep thought; there was no doubt about that. Call her selfish, but to see Ruby trying to think of ways to get her out of her issue....it makes her...happy. Now, if only she could get over this sickness she has also been feeling lately.

But, on the first day when she got back, of course, she had to go to the one place she didn't want to go to. She had to report back to...the Witch. But before she heads into the room to report to the damn Witch, a young woman with medium-brown skin and dark-red eyes, aka Emerald Sustrai, stops her.

Emerald: "So, how did the mission go?"

Neo admits to herself she had a soft spot for Emerald. Why? Because she was just like her. Someone who had nowhere to go and had to defend herself. But unlike her, who had Roman to care for her, Emerald had that Witch. Someone who is clearly just using her, and once Emerald uses all her uses; she will get thrown to the side like trash.

If Ruby is going to try her hardest to save Neo, she might as well try to save Emerald. Neo sighs.

Neo: *type* "You already know the answer." *type* "Things didn't go exactly as planned."

Emerald: "I can see that!! What the hell Neo!? Do you understand what this looks like right?!?" Neo rolls her eyes. "Ok, look you're not weak by any means! I seen that for sure, but for the simple fact that you couldn't take out the little rose girl is going to cause problems!"

Neo: *type* "Why does it matter?" *type* "It's not like she was a huge problem for your boss' plans to begin with?" *type* "All that Witch-"

Emerald: "Cinder."

Neo: *type "Witch." *type* "All she knows I went to spy on the little rose girl and see if she causes an issue for us." *type* "Which she won't." The two turned and got ready to enter the room, but not before Neo sent a few more text messages to Emerald. *type* "Tell me Emerald, do you really believe you're gonna be around forever with Cinder?" *type* "You're not an idiot, you know it. I know it. Cinder doesn't treat you right."

Emerald: She gets a broad eye look and turns to Neo with a look of anger in her eyes. "You DON'T KNOW that!?!"

Neo: *type* "Ok sure I don't."

They both go into the room. Cinder and Mercury are; one is sitting on the bed, and the other is sitting in the chair with a smirk on his face. Neo and the boy Mercury make eye contact; Neo rolls her eyes at him and faces Cinder, aka Neo dubs the Witch, while Emerald closes the door behind them.

Cinder: "Ah Neo so glad you could join us." Neo crosses her arms and tilts her body, and looks at Cinder. "I have high hopes for you really. You rarely make a mistake, but I shouldn't expect much from someone who works under Roman."

Cinder said in a condescending voice toward Neo. Neo gripped her fist and wanted to jump at her right then in there, but Neo knew that would be foolish knowing she wouldn't win against the Witch. She tried once before, and what would be so different this time? Plus, Cinder simps are in the room, and they would help her out.
