(Y/n) neatly wrote in her and Katie's plant's progress. Last semester, she was docked off five points for having rushed and messy handwriting for the last few dates and she did not plan on getting docked off points again. She had used the extra credit Professor Sprout had given her from the constant amount of time she spent in the greenhouse, caring for the plants (in reality, she was very slowly testing and gaining samples with the plants from the greenhouse along with caring for the plants of course, but Professor Sprout didn't need to know that), but with the extra credit, it only cancelled out the five points, thus resulting in her still having a perfect score.

"(Y/n), Hoshi's in the common room," Blair giggled out. (Y/n) looked up from her homework before scrambling after the Head Girl. "Quite the attention he's causing," she mused.

(Y/n) politely greeted Hoshi as he waddled over to her. The Ravenclaws cooed at him when he flew and perched on (Y/n)'s arm. (Y/n) took the scroll attached to his leg and allowed him to perch on her shoulder. She untied the ribbon and broke the seal before unrolling the scroll and scanning over the extremely short letter.

My dear (Y/n),
I promise things will be answered this summer. More specifically during Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadowes'. Any response you would want would take much too long to write and it is better to wait for when we have the people you are writing about in access to us. In the meantime, do keep your studies up and write to us whenever you need anything.
Love,
Anastasia Harris
P.S.: We have talked with Xenophilius and he has agreed with our proposal of keeping you with the Lovegoods until the wedding (when you are out of school, of course). I know you like Luna and perhaps you will get some kind of answer for your endless questions with the Lovegoods.

(Y/n) huffed in annoyance, folding the letter back up. She turned and was about to retreat back to her dorm when Blair stopped her.

"Slow your roll, firstie," she mused.

"Am I in trouble?" (Y/n) asked.

"Hm? Oh, no," Blair assured. "Wait here, all right? I'll be right back," she said, holding her hands up in a 'stay' motion. She proceeded to jog up and towards the girls' dormitory. (Y/n) blinked owlishly (in unison with Hoshi).

"Have you seen Laurie?" Cho chirps, strolling up to (Y/n). She had just entered the Common Room from the looks of it.

"I don't think so..." (Y/n) answered. "And I also don't think I've seen Effie either..."

"Are they in love?" Cho gasped excitedly.

"Who knows?" (Y/n) grinned.

"Imagine that! Co-mothers-in-law!" Cho clasped her hands together. (Y/n) smiled, shaking her head in amusement.

"Go ahead without me. I'm waiting for Blair," (Y/n) insisted when Cho lingered around.

"All right. See you in a few, I hope," Cho said, waving her fingers before skipping off to the dorms. She waved at Blair as they passed. Blair smiled down at (Y/n) before skipping down the steps and meeting up with her.

"So, I know you've really been burying yourself in finding out about your mother," she began slowly, very clearly hiding something behind her back. "And naturally, as your Hogwarts mother, I wanted to help you," she continued, her smile widening. "So I may or may not have peeked into the yearbooks and found out something: and that is your mother was in some pictures with our professors." She took her hands out from behind her back. "So, I reached out to them and may have gotten some things from them." She held out a book (Y/n) could instantly tell was a photo album.
