"Oh, yes, before I forget: I should probably mention the Weasleys are coming over for dinner tomorrow," Anastasia informs Valorie and Yvette."...what?" Yvette asked.
"Tomorrow, Tuesday, Christmas," Anastasia clarifies.
"And you didn't say anything?!" Valorie hissed.
"Yes, it may have slipped my mind," Anastasia sighed. "Don't worry. I already have a brilliant dinner prepared and the house is already tidy. We've got nothing to worry about."
"Stasia, (Y/n)'s social battery drained within hours of her being here," Valorie said. "Notice how she's reverted to her quiet self again?"
"But she likes the Weasleys!" Anastasia said. Valorie sighed, massaging her temples.
"Well, she'll be in for a surprise tomorrow. Either pleasant or dreadful," said Yvette.
"And I can dress her up!" Valorie said, rather excited at the opportunity.
The three women and singular girl sat downstairs in their matching pyjamas. Yvette had the fireplace going as Anastasia set a tray of hot chocolate on the coffee table. Valorie was dividing up the presents (and so far (Y/n) had the most).
"All right, let's get to it," Anastasia said as she joined them on the floor.
(Y/n) first picked up the presents from Cho and Marietta. Cho had wrapped a set of three knitted turtlenecks— grey, peach, and honey— and in turn, (Y/n) sent Cho a customized— she embroidered it— backpack for her to store her knitting gear in (along with a few balls of yarn) and some earrings. Marietta had sent (Y/n) a wax set with fifteen different colours and (Y/n) sent her a stationary kit and again some jewellery. From the Weasley twins, (Y/n) had originally got an explosion of confetti, but if she looked past that, she found some Wizarding treats (that she did not trust at all now). For the twins, she had sent them high tops with an embroidered arrangement of flowers that she felt matched their personalities.
(Y/n) had sent Angelina a thermos and some stickers to customize it and though Angelina's gift hadn't arrived until later in the day, she got a golden mirror, brush, and comb set out of it. Alicia had sent cat costumes for Effie and (Y/n) had sent Alicia a coloured pencil set and a sketchbook as she often caught Alicia doodling on her work. (Y/n) was extremely surprised to see a game of Wizard's Chess set from an unknown sender and her godmothers were extremely nostalgic to see such a thing. Cedric had sent her a rather pretty jewellery box and another unknown sender had sent her a jewellery set from a designer brand (Dior). Penny had sent her a very pretty tea set (so much so that she most likely would use it only for display) and (Y/n) sent Penny a box of Muggle herbs.
The Tonks family (who had grown rather fond of the child their kid wouldn't stop sending letters about) had sent a winter collection of clothing and (Y/n) felt extremely bad for not sending the whole of their family something (she had sent Tonks a good collection of records). Ben, Merula, and Blair had sent air plants and (Y/n) sent them terrariums. Anthony's gift was some VHS' of movies (Y/n) did not have and (Y/n) had sent cassette tapes. Leanne had sent a rather pretty set of books and (Y/n) set her a bath kit. She and Katie had accidentally sent the same set of paint to one another (not that (Y/n) would complain).
Finally, she got to her godmothers' gifts. Quite a few of them. She had made each of them paintings, knitted clothing, and something embroidered. From Anastasia, she received room decor and cooking books, from Valorie she received her own sewing machine and fabric and thread to get her started, from Yvette she received many books relating to witchcraft outside of the magic world and had also gifted cassettes by the various artists (Y/n) listed. And finally, as a gift from all three of them, she received her own phone.
