Chapter 10

"Listen, I have been working with you here for a while, and I think that we should hang out some time?" Alex told me while I got butterflies in my stomach, "Yes that would be great!" I tried to sound cool saying it, so he wouldn't know that I liked him. "Would you like to come over to my house, if you want? Tommarow at 12:00, but I will have to okay it with my mom first." I told him like I would never want this conversation to end. "Sure! Tell me what your mother says." He said, "I'll go ask right now!" As I told him that, since I couldn'y get up I called my mom, Alex was so polite that he stepped out of the room to give me privecy to talk to my mom. "Alex! She said yes!... I mean she said yes, well thats great." I nervously said that. I thought to myself I embaressd myself but I did it! "Listen I am going to let you rest and it looks like your mom is going to check you out of the hospital soon. Bye I will see you tomorrow, can't wait!" He told me. Then he leaned over and gave me a hug. He was warm and smelled like chocolate. I blushed so much once he left, it was as my face was turning numb. I went home and walked up to my room staring at the clock, waiting for it to be the next day, but it was only 2:00 P.M. I read a bunch of books until it was dinner time. I had a steak with some green beans and a small baked potato with cheese and sour cream on it. By that time it was already 8:30 P.M. I got so excited! I tried to go to be at that time but I just couldn't, I didn't go to bed till 9:00 P.M. I woke up at 9:00 A.M. Then got ready I tried to pick out a really nice, cool, and comfortable outfit. I read a bunch if other different books until it was a quarter till noon the time he was coming over, as soon as I got up from my bed I heard a knock and a door bell ring, he was here.
