Chapter 21

I had my mom rush me home, I ran to my room but on my jewelry, and then finally put on my dress. I heard a "Knock, Knock." On the door and it was Alex, my mom went to the door and opened it up and Alex stepped inside, "Awe, Alex! You look so handsome and cute in your tuxedo and little green bow tie!" My mom said in a really annoying little baby voice, "Mom!" I said at the top of the stairs, I started to make my way down the steps, as I noticed Alex's eyes were on me, as he was amazed, "Hi." I said in a gentle voice trying not to blush, "Hello there beautiful." Alex said not taking his eyes off of me, "Let me take some pictures first, but I know that this isn't really the prom for your age but it still counts, okay lets get this party started! Pose for me and say cheese!" My mom said while embarrassing me, after a long time of pictures Alex finally led me to his truck and helped me in, we drove there on time gave them our tickets and said that we were one of the chaperons, as we walked in I saw a girl run up to me and hug me, "Nice to meet you!" The girl said in a loud, but welcoming voice, "Um... Thanks, but do I know you or some thing?" I asked as Alex interrupted and told me that, that was her sister, Joy. "Oh... Nice to meet you Joy." I said, "I am so glad we can meet Heavenly, my brother has been talking, and talking all the time, non stop about, I am sorry we haven't meet before I have been busy and haven't been at the house a lot, I have been studying for finals, and all of the senior tests." Joy said, "Oh that's okay, I hated that when you have to take a bunch of tests to graduate." I said, "I know right." Joy said back, after along conversation, we headed out to the dance floor, we danced for a while and then I went to go and sit down and Alex followed, we sat and talked until they played a slow song, Alex got up and held his hand out, "Shall I have this dance with you?" Alex asked, "You shall." I answered back, we walked to the dance floor and started to slow dance, it was really romantic, just the way he looked at me made me feel special, we danced and started to whisper and to each other, "I am so grateful for you, I love you." Alex said to me so I could only hear, "I am so grateful for you too! I love you too." I said back so only he could hear, I kind of hugged him while we slow danced, Alex didn't mind, I thought it was so romantic, we danced for a while until the slow song ended, and then Alex's sister Joy walked up too us, "You two are so cute for each other, hey Alex do you want to dance, this is the song that we always danced to and sang too?" Joy said, "Um..." Alex said looking at me, "Go ahead she is your sister have fun, I'll be fine, and Joy thank you." I said, "Okay Joy, I'll be back Heavenly." All be watching!" I said as they headed out for the dance floor, once they were done with there sibling dances, the announcer were on, "Okay now, every better vote for prom king and queen." The announcer said, I already knew who I am going to vote for, Joy and her date.
