It's around 5 in the afternoon when you arrive at Sidney's. Now, the two of you are sitting on the floor of her living room, outlining the final details of your project. The project that you had started with Casey. Every now and then, it would cross your mind, especially when you'd go over Casey's notes for some information. She had small but neat handwriting, you realize. Realizing you were staring at Casey's notes a little too hard, you and Sidney decide to take a break. You pull the pillow you were sitting on from under you, laying down and resting your head on it.

"So," you smirk, trying to act as if you weren't ignoring him all morning, "How are things with Billy?"

Sidney blushes, "Well, as good as things can be. We're still taking it slow."

"Is it both of you taking it slow, or just you taking it slow? Because every time you two are together, Billy looks at you like he wants to ravage you," you give Sidney a knowing look.

She sighs, moving the pillow from her lap to the floor, laying in front of you, "It's complicated. Ever since, you know, I just haven't been interested, really."

You nod understandingly, "I get that. Does Billy know how you feel about it?"

"Yes and no," Sidney bites her lip, "He knows I want to wait, but I haven't really explained why. I think he gets the idea, though."

"Does he?" you raise your eyebrows.

Sidney stays silent at your tone before blowing air out of her mouth, sending her bangs upward.

"You're right. I should talk to him."

You hum, rolling on your back. You don't know when, but you and Sidney fall asleep on the floor for a few hours. As much as you needed some rest, your back wasn't a fan of sleeping on the floor.

The two of you are awoken by the phone ringing. Your eyes shoot open, adjusting to the dusk lighting across the house. It's just bright enough to see the phone next to you on the table.

"Can you get that?" Sidney groans, rolling on her back and covering her face with her arm, "It's probably my dad checking in."

You nod, even though she can't see you.

You pick up the phone mid-ring, "Hello?"

"Hello, (Y/N)."

Your eyebrows furrow at the strange voice, "Hello," you echo, "Who is this?"

Sidney slowly sits up and whispers, "Who is it?"

You shrug as the strange voice answers, "I don't know, you tell me."

Letting out an airy laugh, you stand up from your sitting position, "Randy, is that you? Are you really that bored at work right now?"

"Is Sidney with you?" the disembodied voice asks.

Feeling uncomfortable, you hesitate to answer, "Why?"

"Just answer the question," the person says, slightly aggravated.

You look straight at Sidney, who is now getting up to turn the lights on before heading to where you're standing.

"Yes. Now, who is this? If it's you, Randy, cut it out. You're not being funny."

"I'm not Randy, (Y/N)."

You freeze, and the thought that this could be the masked killer who tried to get you earlier crosses your mind. You still had a glimmer of hope that it wasn't Stu and Billy and that it was just a coincidence somehow.

"Have they said who they are?" Sidney asks, approaching with her arms crossed.

You shake your head, an odd look on your face that Sidney notices.

"Here," she says, about to pull the phone away from you. You shake your head again, holding up a finger to signal her to give you a moment.

"Then who are you?" you hesitantly ask the person on the other end of the phone.

"The question isn't 'who am I,' the question is 'where am I?'"

Your heart begins to race as you gulp loudly, hurrying from the living room to the foyer to lock the front door. You lean against it, facing a now worried Sidney.

"This isn't funny," you say sternly.

"No, but it is fun. Now, guess which door I'm at," the voice taunts, revealing a small laugh.

"I will not. You're just bluffing," you huff, and Sidney finally snatches the phone away from you.

"Look, whoever this is, pl-"

"Hand the phone back to (Y/N), now, Sidney!"

Sidney is taken aback at him knowing her name and a little scared at how angry this mystery man got.

"Why? What do you want?" she interrogates further.

"I want to see what your insides look like."

Sidney shakily hands the phone back to you, and when she does, she briefly hears the man say, "Good girl."

"He can see us," Sidney whispers, frantically looking around before going to lock the patio doors and the windows downstairs.

"Too late for that," the man chides, and you inhale sharply.

"Too late for what?"

"I'm already here," he says snarkily.

"Fuck you!" you shout into the phone, fear coursing through your veins. Whether it was Billy and Stu or someone else, you are becoming scared.

"No," the perpetrator snarled, "You listen, (Y/N), you're gonna answer my question. Which door am I at?"

"I don't know, " you whisper, your voice failing you as you slide down the front door. You wish Sidney would hurry back.

"Sure you do. Turn around."

Your body suddenly feels numb at the adrenaline rush, and you slowly stand back up. You peep through the front window as sneakily as possible but see nothing.

"Once again, you're bluffing," you say, breathing shakily, returning to your spot against the door.

"Am I?"

Sidney comes barreling across the house, a shadowy figure hot on her tail. You drop the phone, turn around, and try to unlock the door as quickly as possible. Your hands shake too much, so you turn around and run to the kitchen, grabbing a knife from the knife block. You stand behind the island, wielding the large blade. The figure grabs Sidney, pressing his own blade to her throat.

"Leave this fucking house right now, or I'll fucking kill you!" You scream at the top of your lungs, your heart roaring in your ears.

The figure only tilts its head, pulling Sidney impossibly closer. They're a far enough distance away from you to where you could run up the stairs and have them chase you instead and maybe leave Sidney alone. The masked killer seemed to want to taunt you more, anyway. Why not prefer killing you instead? You don't give it a second thought and bolt to the stairs, running up them as fast as possible. The figure shoves Sidney to the ground, going after you. You go to Sidney's room, dialing 9-1-1 on her computer. Hopefully, with the door locked and you not saying anything aloud, he won't suspect you're in here. You had blocked the door just in case, though.

"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"

The door bursts open despite the chair blocking it, and you hurry to type a response. But by the time you do, the masked figure is gone.
