Kusuo Saiki P.O.V

i decided to follow [L/n] after school to see where he'd go if he didn't head straight home.

to be fair i could easily read his mind or even use my clairvoyance to figure out where he was going but i decided against it.

the reason i want to follow him in the first place is to see how average people act, using my powers is the least average thing i could do.

though Toritsuka caught me not to far from the school.

he did leave me alone, but now that he knows he was right about me being interested in this kid he's never gonna shut up about it.

was this even a good idea? if i get caught i'll look like a total creep.

he can't think i'm a creep, anyone but him.

he stops at a vending machine and rummaged through his bag for a minute.

'did i forget it at home? no i know i put it in here. come on. . .'

he finally pulled his wallet out of his bag and whispered a "nice" to himself. how cute. . . wait-.

okay, i know what you're thinking but you're wrong.

i may not feel those emotions very often but i know the difference between admiration and a crush.

i watched him pick a lemon soda before walking away. he didn't seem to notice a second one came out.

he could've had a free soda. i guess i'll take it since i'm here.

i didn't notice until i looked down at the bottle but it was that Cyborg-Cider-Man-Number-Two brand my neighbor is obsessed with. i've had it before and it's not the worst.

'something feels off what's happening?' does he know i'm here? no, that's not possible i can read his mind i know he's clueless.

he shrugged it off as he unscrewed his bottle.

'i'm sure it's nothing to worry about. i'll just go to the park.'

i could tell he was still a little on guard. maybe this was a bad idea, i'm making him paranoid.

even though my head kept telling me to leave the poor man alone i kept following him. even in the park i ended up hiding behind a tree as he sat on the bench.

'i'm not to far from my grandparents house, maybe i should go over there first?'

hmm? i could've sworn he'd been living there for a while. maybe i was wrong? i don't know all the details, he doesn't think about his home life much at school anymore.

'yeah that sounds good. but first. . .'

he stood up and i ducked behind the tree. "can you stop following me please?"

he knew?! i peaked past the tree and immediately made eye contact. he's staring right at me! "Saiki? is that you?"

to late to hide now. i stepped out from behind the tree.
